I have had a few phone calls and e-mail asking me how to... So here it is. CLICK ON PICS TO EXPAND--THAN CLICK AGAIN TO EXPAND EVEN MORE For the life of me I dont know why I am doing this durning a $20.000 derby.
  3. Yes fish can see and feel it. No you dont need any special guides to run it.. Some people use twillie tips and some use roller rods. I use regular ugly stics http://www.fishusa.com/Malin-Wire-Line_ ... 09E16D2ADE
  4. Chris; 24 to 77 inches from flasher...same as you would with a 3 fly rig or clean off a rigger 5 to whatever back. Let the fish tell you what they want. http://shop.gltsupplies.com/merchant2/m ... ry_Code=DC Mark
  5. Shade; I run it with everything I have. Small flashers, Big Flashers, Spin Docs, Clean off a rigger, clean off a dipsey.. Lead length will vary with what flashers or set up your going for. Anyway you can think to run a spoon you can do with familiar bite. On a side note the FAMILAIR BITE bait heads work best. Call around to some of the local shops that cater to Lake Ontario Salmon Fishing and you will find the red and green label bait as well as the FAMILIAR BITE bait heads with the hook set ups to rig. I will try and post the rigging instruction for you to see.
  6. 18-22 inches is what I like.
  7. Tim; I run both Red and Green label whole Alwives. Motheroose; It is whole alwives and I suggest that you run them that way. Do not try and cut into strips. Buy the Familiar Bite bait heads they fit both the red and green label fish.
  8. Matt, I dont think you will have to worry much on that staying at the top!!!! $$$$ plus a 100.00 for big brown of the day...SWEEEEEET FAT FISH.
  9. Friday August 15 th day one of LOC derby. Fished of Braddocks from 70 to 150 FOW...best picture was in the 130 FOW area. Had two fish that would of made the board but decided not to weigh in as they would not stay on long. Hot set up was the FAMILIAR BITE behind a 7" white e-chip flasher. The Familiar Bite bait head was Chartreuse in color with a red eye on one side...Best spoons was the Gator.. Caught two lakers on the wire dipseys with Familiar Bite ??? I was draging bottom and slow...maybe a little to slow Saturday 16th Tough day!! got a very late start and had to run the shore line down to the fishing hole because of the waves... Fished for about six hours and had A few BIG FISH on..Once again the best fish came on FAMILIAR BITE!!! The whole alwives seem to be the ticket for big fish..one note they must be rigged right or the will roll to fast. Sunday 17th Fished in water you would not think there would be fish in..130 FOW had 70 degrees on the bottom...did several nice Kings and a few Steelhead in there and them moved out to 180 to 200 fow. Found temp down 100/120 49-52 degrees...Derby King 30.10 came on FAMILIAR BITE 120 down over 187 fow...White echip 7" flasher ...28 pound king same set up. Had the Mix Veggies spoon take off 100 down and the fish just kept going until something happened and SNAP!!! gone????

  19. Common Name: Pronghorn Scientific Name: Antilocapra americana Favorite Hobby: Racing cars Pronghorns will flare out the white hairs on their rump when alarmed. This serves as a warning to the other members of the herd. Kinda like Ray does when he see's musky Bob walking towards him with a case of cold ones..
  20.
