  1. Well we kicked off the charter season this weekend and looks like another great spring off rochester. fished from river mouth to just before hedges. water temp from 40 to 41.9. water color ranged from mud to green to green/clear (see bottom in 7 foot in some areas) the further east you go. a few pokes along summerville pier then nothing to shipbuilders. Found some clearer water a rods started firing. Worked area hard in 8 to 10 Fow and pulled a nice box of fish. Browns, 2 coho and 1 under size steelie. all fish off the boards with sticksbaits -long leads. best color was anything with gold in it. No spoon or rigger fish. Usually i would of not spent the time in the clearer water but the fish where stacked up in there. Out again Friday and will report.

  5. anyone know where to get a new set (or really good used) of teak cabin doors? i have done alot of internet searching and haven't found anything. I could make a set but don't have the time right now plus want to keep luevered "stock" style that are currently on the boat. there needs to be a boat "junk yard" somewhere. thanks in advance
  6. First of all congrats on getting back into lake ontario fishing. I bay/rochester area is one of the most consisent ports to fish out of. day in and day out there is always something biting. Alot of the members of this board fish this area and always are willing to help out and/or post reports on how they did. From now to mid may the shoreline from braddocks(west) to hedges (east) all can produce some very nice brown trout fishing, great numbers and some size. Planer boards with stickbaits your best bet. steelies, coho's and a few kings will also be in the mix. I could type a 30 page easy on details and locations but rather than do that I will send you a pm. Also i am sure that alot of others will add to this topic for you.

  11. I am looking to have a new logo/design drawn up and/or photoshoped for the back of a boat. thought i would do a post to see if anyone on here does or can do this for me. I know what i want and have a picture to start from. Going to have finished design done on boat in vinyl/airbrush by Southpaw. If anyone can do the design or could point m in the right direction it would be GREAT. Thanks in advance. Steve

I have been making the run off shore as far as 16 miles and have to say that the past week the 320 to 420 range has been best for us. Temp. seems to be warmer and alittle deeper the further west we pushed. Also I have noticed a distinct line of warm water out deep with colder water trapped on both sides (north and south). The south side seems to have been holding alot more bait and fish. We have worked this area hard and have had good success. Alot of small kings and steel but weed thru them and some bigger guys show up. Riggers 45-65 down taken majority of fish but bigger fish coming 85-105 down. Free sliders on all riggers taking shots with "get r dones" d.w. ss. Main lines working with 28 size baits. no real pattern mix of greens, oranges and black/silvers/spooks. Wires have been 150 to 180' on 3 setting and other wire 325 to 375 on 2 setting. No hits on spin/fly combos for us all spoons. Good luck to all in loc. Out angain later this week will report. Tight lines ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ====================

Boat Depth: shallow about 2.5' Lure Depth: deep can't see it ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== We left the dock this a.m. @ 5:30 to wait by the pier heads to follow everyone else out that knows where the fish are. By 6:00 saw the fleet heading out and proceeded to follow them. After 40 minutes we arrived somewhere. Thanks to my new Standard horizon 2012 omni with a very long antenna i was able to listen in on what everyone was using and catching fish with. I began to set rods. Within minutes every other boat began netting fish and we waited. decision time........ we turned to our old stand by that has never let us down. The new verizon wireless LG phone with text, internet, twitter, facebook and even a t.p. holder just in case. After calling every number in my contacts list we had a game plan. I would like to thank Verizon and Standard horizon for the wonderful day on the water. This has been a paid advertisment. FISH ON..... i think LMFAO.
