  13. hey bob - YOU WILL I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE some habits are just to hard to break.
  14. hit the water at 6:30 and ran till noon. good color out to about 6-7' water then turn clear in the a.m , when we where heading in the color was starting to disappear do to the wind and I would bet that it will be gone. Water temp ranged from 38.2 - 40.5. Slow troll (1.8-2.0) on an east troll was best. All board action -never set a rigger. Thunderstick JRs - blk/gold, blk/silver, copper and gfr anll took browns but best by far was the blk/gold set back 110'. All browns with the biggest about 10 pounds the rest schoolies in the 4-6 pound range. tally for the day was 14/19. Out again Saturday weather promitting will post. Tight lines and FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!
  15. this thread is locked. no need to post and keep the snowball rolling.
  16. bruce- yeah that is my nickname from another charter captain out that way. inside joke.
  17. it is at home hank.....it is on your boat LOL. e carter- with wire we use dipsy divers. the copper we just send out so many feet to reach a certain depth like leadcore. email me directly at [email protected] and i will explain wire/divers better.
  18. Ran out of Port bay this past Friday as part of a three boat trip. I was asked to work the back of L&M's boat (Hank), seeing how the port bay boys needed a heavy hitter from the city . We all started west of the bay in 70-100' a few miles east of chimmeny bluffs. Hit 2 kings as we set rods. After a slow spell we got into a small flurry on a mix of fish them lockjaw again!!! All in all we had a slow day. 4 in the boat a 3 dropped fish. Between the 3 boats a total of 7 fish boated and about as many more dropped. Very tough bite for all of us last friday. All bites where riggers or wires - no leadcores or copper bites. Nk mag wonderbread, white spinny/white fly, and trash can dodger/hammer flies took the hits. Out of Port bay again this Friday on my boat -hopefully things pick up.
  19. Yeah mark....i had Matt mate for me one afternoon when i had a double trip he looked alittle lost being in water deeper than 70' Matt - just busting stones - I have seen you do kings, steels and CHICKENS. wait till olcott next spring - no browns but A TON of silvers!
  20. he is a JERK!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
  21. Fishgill, not sure where you will be fishing out of but i ran my last charter last year on Halloween day and did good out of Rochester.
  22. Gill-T, I agree. Having to travel from say 50' for a brown to 120" for a laker to 600' for a steel and a king somewhere inbetween would be alot for 1 day. Can and has been done but 3 cons to this ......#1 gas prices, time constraints, and the limited amount of "excitement" or entry from guys with smaller boats. Take the biggest three fish you have and anybody has a chance. I have seen 3 lakers bigger than 3 kings and ANYBODY has a chance. Just tossing around ideas and thoughts. Seeking input for everyone.
  23. YT I have not asked hank about a surveyor yet - both of us have been busy so have not talked much.
