  1. Thank you I will give him a shout Wednesday.
  2. looking for a good marine surveyor/appraiser. I only know of North coast but am looking for others.
  3. keep it simple......... something like ....one day event, 100% payback , payout 40% 1st, 30% 2nd and 20% 3rd place with 10% largest overall fish. 3 biggest (heaviest)fish of the day can be weighted in -any species or combo of salmon and trout. This gives everyone a chance, even a guy out by himself. keep entry fee low like $100/boat. run the contest after the Sodus pro/am but before the fall LOC.
  4. Matt, I and a few others have been working with Northern king about a tournament. After the derby maybe you, me and nk can sit down and work out a purposal.
  5. Fishing has been very good for us the past week. Quality kings, lakers and steelheads. Before I go into detials i would like to thank Matt (missdeameanor) for working with me on a double trip Wednesday. Great time overall despite a few mishaps with motor. Oh -yeah ever try removing a downrigger from the boat while netting fish LOL Been working the river mouth in 75- 90 FOW from first light till 7:30 and doing well for a couple quick big male kings. This bite is done and gone by 7:30. Wires with familar bite meat rigs and 2 corner riggers with white spin doctors and glow flies - 10 and 15' off the ball. Chute rigger 10' HIGHER with mag NK wonder bread 25' back. This has taken 2 to 4 kings every morning. 2.2 -2.4 mph at ball Then the 39 to 47 west lines in 80 -120' have been the ticket. Mix of quality kings, lakers and steelhead. Meat on wires 210 and 250 out 2.5 setting w/ rings. White spin doctor glow fly (matt's new favorite rig ) on the chute 12' back and spoons on the corner riggers. Mags in black, wonderbread, and some glow/greens doing best. Also a 10 color core with 4 oz, 8 oz, or 1 pound balls taken fish with both spin doctors/flies and meat rigs. good luck to all in LOC and see yea on the water
  6. thanks for the post i was just gonna post the sale.
  7. only took one fish for us on Sunday
  8. Well late start today because of the waves - a little bumpy for my crew - one guy had cracked ribs - but he made it thru the whole day like a trooper. Set up in 180' east of braddocks. took 5 quick fish as setting up then that went dry. trolled north to 450' a poked fish all the way out and back in. Riggers 65, 75, 85 & 95 down. All with free slider glow cup froggies. Wonderbread, NBK, green dolphin and mallotto mags on the main lines. 10 color core w/ 1 pound ball (knot at water)with mag spook. 250 and 325 wires with Spin doctors and white or all glow NK flies. End up with a very nice box of fish today. Some real nice kings floating around out there.
  9. Tom, I miss you fishing by me and so do my clients that pic you have in your sig. looks familar - you know what they say a picture is worth a $1000 I mean words LOL
  10. fishtail -familar bite orange package. First day running it this year. took 3 fish today so i can't say it has been good.
  11. 2 dipsey, 2 11" flashers, 2 twinkie rigs SAME GUY then a spin doctor fly off the rigger. Needless to say i was shaking my head. He learned after the 4th time i told him.
  12. Tough bite today but i did well on steels and kings. Riggers 55-75' down with wonderbread, spook and hossman mags. Glow froggy 28 size on 10 color core - knot at water. Cutbait on the wires. Best water for us was 220-320'. Speed 2.7-2.8 @ the ball. anyone who is new to wire and is reading this LISTEN CLOSE......DO NOT TIGHTEN THE DRAG ON THE REEL WHEN A SALMON IS PEELING OUT LINE. if you realy need to do an adjustment do so when the fish stops running.
  13. Mark, alot of boats had a tough day on silvers today. I had a lucky horseshoe up my you know what today. Seriously, I just stayed in a 1 mile stretch and beat it all day for my fish. I will back at the same local tomarrow a.m. out a 5 a.m.
  14. Mixed bag (9/14) today of silvers. Started in 175' and took a couple fish early on wonderbread mags and 28's down 75' and 85'. Then moved deeper to 220-320' riggers 55-85 down. Orange crush took a nice bow, nbk, and hossman all in 28 size took a few. Then Nk green dolphin mags went. Nothing fast and furious just a slow pick. off till thursday will post in the pm
  15. jax, when my clients email me the pics i will post one of it. It is headed to streeters Tuesday for a mount.
  16. "you need help" yes i do in more ways than one LOL
  17. Matt & mark, sure don't call me about the fish LOL
  18. Well Friday was VERY VERY good for us off I.bay with browns including a nice 17 pounder. Key was 39 fow with riggers and 7 color core. Spooks, glow frogs and NK wonderbreads. Saturday - tougher bite but got our box. 49 to 64 fow off i.bay for the browns. Got one real big boy but the rest where in the 6-9 pound range- oh yeah a bunch of stockers also. Nice to see these little guys but hate catching them.Glow frogs and spooks on the riggers and wonderbreads on the wires out 125'. Slid out to 80 -90' and did a couple steels and 2 coho's (small). 35' and 51' down on the riggers with a new spoon I'm feild testing for Northern King. I will post about the spoon about i run it some more -still to early to tell it's success. Still looking for the kings hopefully they will show up soon.
  19. I will give Mr. Bubbles a copy of all my divorce reciepts and maybe change his mind so you can go fishing. LOL tell Bill I said congrats. Call me and I will give you the low down for rochester.
  20. Mark, fishing has been HOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! off rochester alot of nice steelhead ...upto 15 pounds, kings good one day slow the next but are here, even a few coho hanging around. get that boat out!
  21. smoke 'em today off rochester kings and steelhead even 1 coho. Best day on the water so far this year number wise. Talked with reliable captains up and down the south shore today (off other ports) and got scattered reports mostly slow to o.kay. seems the 90-225 ranch has been the must promising off other ports. All reports seem the same that the fish are coming deep -- mustly 70' and deeper. good luck and if you are off rochester give me a shout.
  22. pmjasper, if you are still interested in a charter in may up a the "bar". let me know, I'm up there for 5 weeks If i am booked the day you are interested i can put you on with another good captain.
