  2. Hermit I have a qouple of questions for you if you don't mind. I was learning how to jig fish the lakes in New Hampshire last year. I'm trying to set up a tackle box just for that what do you recommend for size of lures, line and any special baits you use. In NH we were using I think 1/2 oz to 1 oz cabala's jigs in Jointed and regular sizes and the rod I believe had spider line, Is this a good set up? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.
  3. RAY NOT THE CAMEL TOES OF 75 YEAR OLDS. PLEASE NOT ANOTHER VISUAL!!!! HURRY UP SPRING!!!!!
  4. Looks great Billy You got a great boat there One of these days I want a ride in it
  5. Ray
  6. Fishtails thanks I guess that would help doing it your way  I should have said it better.Good catch. I use cannon rubber bands they come in red for light line and skin color for heavy line. P.S. Keating said to use #19 size bands. You can find them at staples or office max etc.
  7. You can also put the rigger down to where you want the 2nd lure then half hitch a rubber band on the main line and hook the snap lock to the rubber band and your good to go. This is how I run my stacker now Yankee Troller showed me how to do this last year and it works for me. Either way works. Good luck. By the way welcome to the site. Great bunch of guys I have learned allot here.
  8. Ray are you an X sumo wrestler :? I hope so Because The vision I have of you in a thong is really scary and I mean scary  But if you were a wrestler that would explain alot of things
  9. Thanks for the visuals Billy. Light winds is what the stack tells me it's going to be a great day I couldn't agree with you more  come on spring
  10. Chris there is a nice Pennyan for sale on this site. I I didn't just buy a boat I would look at that one they are great boats. Just a thought
  11. Yankee Sounds like a great time to bad it was 7 hrs away I would love to go to something like that they have NOTHING like that in my neck of the woods. That why I love this site for info from you guys. Chromeslayer nice rig good luck with it I have a Lund 1800 fishermen set up like yours. P.S. Yankee are you staying in wilson this may and for how long if your are?
  12. Is it a single or two seater?any pictures?
  13. Like what has been said a steelie that has launched out of the water is just awsome in my books
  14. Steve the hot map doesn't need the fish and chip that he talked about it's only for the Gold 14XG map. If you buy the gold map it is given to you for free but the hot maps have great contours and all the stuff you need for the fair Haven area I have to get the gold chip because I'm going to start fishing the Bar area and the hot map doesn't go that far west you will be good with just the premium hot map for $150 Hoge marine has them for less here is there site. http://www.hodgesmarine.com/Navionics-H ... rem-e4.htm
  15. I agree 100% MB I wonder how they would taste Bufflo style
  16. Muskybob Pike are just as bad. My folks lived on one of the best LL salmon lakes in Maine at one time but someone thought it was a good idea to put some pike in the lake well 10 years later and the salmon fishing S**Ks. If you see 1 salmon boat trolling all summer you would be lucky. Before the pike on opening day you couldn't put a boat in for at least a 1 hr or more waiting at the ramp.we are getting them over 20 lb now.I catch them and throw them up on shore for some other critter to have lunch. the only good thing about the pike is there fun on light line and ice fishing
  17. Steve if you are not going to fish further west than lets say sodas bay the hot map premium 2008 has a great map of the area. I have the 2006 map and it was great detail for fair haven and to the eastern basin. If you want to fish the bar you will need the 14XG gold map. Hope this helps
  18. Jeff Thanks for getting back to me.I will be ordering that chip soon.It sounds like a great mapping set up.And I appreciate you coming on here to answer my questions. Have a great week end.
  19. Fishtail give Jim a call at BOE he sells alot of FURUNO stuff and he will match or beat any price you can get. He knows his stuff. http://byownerelectronics.com/store/home.php
  20. Hi Jeff welcome aboard and thanks for posting and please tell I believe her name was Cindy(I hope )Thanks for passing the request to you. I was the one inquiring about the Lake Ontario chip. From what I gather on the 14xg map chip are you saying that the fish and chips is already loaded in the 14XG chip or is it a separate chip? Thanks again for coming here and talking to us. This is great.
  21. Ray you should be a stand up comic
  22. Tom why would you put it there? I'm just curious why so far from the center of the boat.
  23. Maybe your too busy on Myspace
  24. Welcome aboard Uncorked shoot Yankee troller a line is fishes out of that port.
  25. Put it on the starboard side about a foot away from the props blade and make sure you don't mount it in front of a skate.I also went with a board to mount my ducers one thing I didn't do is Mount the board a 1/2 inch from the bottom I mounted mine flush :? then after I read the book that came with the boat that's what it told me to do 1/2 inch from the bottom.Nice rig good luck let us know how it comes out.
