I am looking for a certian tackle box to hold all of my spoons.I can't remember the name or make but it has cards that hold the spoons and the cards are set in a way that you fan thru them to pick the spoon you want. Can someone help me with a name and place to buy one of these.Or if you have a good tackle box to tell me about would also be great. Thanks

  8. Yo Ray, This is no trick.Yes I have been on the pond a long time(1982) but I learn every time I'm on this site.I would have loved a site like this in the 80's.I learned more from this site in the few years I have been on it than the past 15 years with out it.I have always just delt with the waves and wind but It's going to be a long winter and I always wanted to try the bags but never have so this is why I'm asking.I thought I read somewhere that the bags do help a little on the side to side action of the boat.I think I would buy 2 bags for more control overall I'm not sure I'm hoping some one with my size boat will chime in.Thanks for the reply I keep all that is told to me in the back of my mind so I here ya
  9. Billy Twill Tips???????? Are you OK?
  10. Ok I have a question for any one that's want's to answer I have a 19 foot lund I can troll down to .5 mph so That is not an issue My question is when I'm trolling with the waves I have a reel hard time controlling my speed would a pair of trolling bags help me here or will I get waves over the back of the boat.I also heard that the bags help with the side to side rocking of the boat.Any info on these would be great Thanks in advance.
  11. Great Job Tom

  15. Skeiner Good point I hate when that happens
  16. I have a Cannon SNT Pro's Light meter good for helping in picking colors depth meter gives you actual depth of probe Haven't had any problems with unit Con's I didn't like how to attach unit to cable.A friend made me a plate to use so I hook it up with out crimping the cable. 135 lb cable I switched to 150 coated cable( I feel safer with a stronger cable) The speed jumps around more than I would like it to but it's pretty acuret replacement probe is $400 Depth Raider From what I have been told is a great unit easy to read from the back of the boat probe is smaller and replacement is only $200 I like my SNT but if I lose my probe I will get a Raider.ether one you will enjoy.Good luck
  17. Yankee I think if I lived closer to you guys I might be in trouble with the wife.Lets see watch TV with the wife or hearing the wire rods screeming my name  All I can say is FISH ON!!!
  18. I use the blacks release but use a rubber bands around my line and then clip them into the blacks and when a fish hits it drives the hook in pretty good.If I'm running reel deep I will use 2 bands so I can crank my rods down really good using this method.I see the guy who made these fishes Lake Champlain so I can see why they might be worth a try in that type of lake but I'm not sure about Lake Ontario I think I will stick with my blacks.but for smaller fish Maybe I will try one?But they are a bit over priced :?
  19. Jax I believe there is 2 types of these guys one for hydraulics and one for boats like ours.I was thinking of one for my lund also.Let me know what you end up doing.
  20. Nice Buck Billy. But are you and Yankee sure your not brothers :?: You Know My Buck was bigger than your buck ETC ETC ETC
  21. My only concern is if you can crank you rods down as tight as they say .How easy are they to pop when changing up lures? And can you set them tight enough to set the hook in a 30 lb salmons jaw in august when they hit?Other than that they look like it might be worth it to try one out.
  22. Nice Buck Rick.
  23. MJ Is the MAN !!!! Better watch out Eric he is going to woop your butt for good in a couple of years
