  4. Spike Tom (A-tom-mik) would be were I would go he will set you up with everything you need.
  5. Spike You could also run 4 dipsey 2 on each side 1 at a 2 1/2 setting and then the other 1 at 1 to 1/2 settings and then the 2 riggers I believe you have a Lund like mine(96 inch beam) If I would have had 2 more wire rods this spring at the bar I would have run this setup. My buddy does this all of the time it should give you a wide enough spread so you shouldn't tangle(unless you cut a corner to tight). That is going to be my goal this winter is getting 2 more wire set ups.Just my 2 cents
  6. great job glen
  7. It's still in the works as far as I know but it will take a couple of seasons to go into affect if it passes. This is what I understand But at my age It's could be wrong
  8. Have a great B day Tim enjoy
  9. They are little critters that have tails that they use to wrap around your line and are a real pain in the butt you can have them get so bad that they go up your line1 to 3 feet if you don't use the right line forget braid they love that stuff. They also love the heat they come on strong when it gets hot but usually gone by september (not all gone but manageable).they came from big ocean vessels rinsing out there bilge's and tanks from the salt water and the fleas had No problems adapting to fresh water.the same way the zebra mussel and Gobi's came from. They have fishing line that is called flea flicker in 20 lb and 30 lb and it does a good job keeping them off but they can still hang on a little bit I use Andie pink 30 lb line and it works enough so you can fish.If you do a search you might find some other articles on this subject.I'm pretty sure there is a better way to explain them to you but this is the best I can do.They are mostly in Lake O and I think I heard that they might be in the finger lakes also but I'm not 100% sure
  10. No not at all. You can run mono but you get a lot of stretch from mono.you can use braided line which some people do use but when the fleas are bad forget it.if you want to get deep wire is the way to go. Some days that is all that is taking hits some days it's the riggers. try a set up and see if it's what you want.Just my opinion

  24. I feel the best wave report is to be standing at the boat ramp looking out.I come from MANY miles away to find that the report was calling for waves 1 foot or less to 3 to 5 footer out on the lake. Call up the local Tackle shops and see what they say. Also the weather reports have a 50/50 chance of being right. This is just my 25+ years of coming to Lake O talking But if I had to choose it would be this one for inshore http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/foreca ... loz044.txt And this one for off shore beyound 5 miles http://www.crh.noaa.gov/product.php?sit ... glossary=0
