I have a brand new, still in the box, never used Humminbird 1157C NVB for sale. This is a combo GPS/Fish Finder that is XM Satellite Weather capable and is the model with the full Navionics cartography package. It is not the side-imaging unit. It has tons of the Gold+ and Fishin' Hot Spots chart that Navionics offers, pre-loaded on the hard drive, so no need to buy a chip. The unit comes with a transducer, GPS antenna, all the power cords, mounting brackets and literature. Like I said, it's brand new! I already have one 1157C on my boat and I love it. I bought this because I was going to run twin big screens, but I already have a 955C as a GPS and I've decided not to install this one. So my indecision is your gain. External GPS Combo with Navionics Value Bundle The 1157c Combo NVB features a massive 10.4" display, DualBeam PLUS sonar with up to 8000 Watts PTP power output, GPS Chartplotting and advanced Fishing System capabilities. Includes unit cover and in-dash mounting kit. Includes Navionics Gold and HotMaps Premium Charts pre-loaded. Maximize your angling experience with the Humminbird 1157c Combo NVB fishfinder system. Display * 10.4" diagonal * 600V x 800H * 4:3 Color TFT Cartography * Navionics Compatible Memory * Waypoints: 3,000 * Routes: 50 * Tracks: 50 w/20,000 points each Sonar DualBeam PLUS * 200 kHz / 20° @ -10db * 83 kHz / 60° @ -10db * Depth: 1500 ft. * (3000 ft with optional 200/50 kHz transducer for deepwater use) Power Output * 1000 Watts (RMS) * 8000 Watts (Peak-to-Peak) GPS Features * 50 Channel GPS * Trackplotting * Chartplotting * GPS Speed * Navionics Value Bundle * Navionics Platinum (optional) Network Modules * WeatherSense (optional) * CannonLink (optional) * InterLink (optional) Warranty * One Year This unit retails for $2,300. First $2,000 takes it. Buyer to pick up in Ithaca or pay shipping costs. PM me here, email me at [email protected], or call me at (607)592-9012.

SOLD SOLD SOLD I have three black Cannon Dual Axis Downrigger Mount Rod Holder sets for sale. These have one season of very light use on them and are in outstanding condition. These holders are easily the best addition to the Cannon product in years and are extremely versatile. Mount the dual axis rod holders between the mounting base and swivel base of your Cannon downrigger for ultimate rod positioning. A pistol grip release allows for quick, one-handed angle changes, and the innovative ratcheting adjustment system allows you to easily pull the holder to a vertical position. Rotates a full 360° for added versatility. They retail for $239. I'll let them go for $200 each. Buyer to pick them up in either Sodus or Ithaca or pay shipping costs. Email me at [email protected] or PM me here. Thanks for looking!

I'm with Glen. The Oak is a fabulous port, especially July-Sept, but the Bar is THE place to be early in the season if you want to catch Kings. There's a reason why lots of the Oak Orchard charter boats run to Wilson & Olcott for the month of May! Here's a shot from my 1157C from last May in Wilson. Those are all Kings!

Love my Humminbirds! Super easy to use menus and best in class customer service. They've come along way over the last few years and are one of the premier units out there in my opinion. Let me know if I can answer any questions about them for you.

Clarke, My Fishin' Chip covers the Canadian water near the Bar if I remember correctly.

dipsy diver or deep diver
Billy V replied to Pj Weber's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
I have some of the TripZ Divers coming. They're pretty cool looking! And yes, I really prefer the Deeper Diver over the LJ for several reasons, most of which are listed above. -
You guys are in for a real treat...this project is UNREAL and the people that we have involved are some of the very best in the industry. It is unquestionably going to revolutionize the way you look at fishing reports. Yankee Troller, Blue Eye and I have been working on this project for a few months now and the beta testing we've been doing is nothing short of spectacular. I wish I could tell you more, but then I'd have to reprimand myself for letting the cat out of the bag!!! Stay tuned Gang; this is going to be a true game-changer....April 9th can't get here fast enough!

Cannon Down Speed & Temp
Billy V replied to ShutUpNFish's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Thanks ShutUpNFish! I work hard at it and try to keep it informative for you guys. All of my fishing reports are there each year too. I've learned a lot from this forum over the years and if I can give something back through my trials and tribulations with equipment and tackle, etc., then I feel like I've begun to pay back all the great people that have helped me over the years. -
Sodus Bay 03/19/10
Billy V replied to muskybob's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Nice job Bob! It must have felt great to get out there. I was up in Sodus working on my boat today and a buddy of mine was out and they wrenched on the browns REALLY hard today! He was all jacked up and we almost quit working on the boat to get out there after them but we stuck it out and finished washing and waxing. -

Enjoy your 30's bro! Once you hit 40 everything will start falling apart and your body will betray you! -
Funny, I hated the Scotty for the very same reason...way too jumpy, especially when you're trying to bring it up just a foot or two. I also disliked the tip up boom, the clutch spring wore out so the ball would drop like a stone if you didn't re-engage the clutch by hand, and the stop beads would slide if you brought the ball up through a weed bed. But the truth of the matter is that it's all personal preference. All of the rigger manufacturers are making quality products these days. None of them are perfect, but they all accomplish the task of raising and lowering the weight. FWIW the current model Cannons have a soft start that solves that jumpy issue.

Here's the scoop on the new Cannon IntelliTroll. It's a major improvement over the old SnT: http://myblog.billyvsportfishing.com/ I'll have mine installed early this spring and will post how it's been working for me after I've had some time with it. -

I've owned Scotty's, Walkers, Invaders, and Cannons. I run Cannon Mag 20DT TS riggers and couldn't be happier. Fastest rigger on the market, best customer service group I've ever dealt with too.
-
No backing needed. We run AFW 30# Camo - .012" diameter (ATOMMIK has the best price on it I've found). 1000' fills a Daiwa SG47LCA perfectly. Put it on very tightly as FX stated above.

What does it have for a motor? Any riggers come with it? Do those planer reels come with it? I'm beginning to look for something for Cayuga Lake for the kids & I during the week. -

YT's right. We long-term tested a few of them for Daiwa and we had very good luck with them. They can't be beat for the money as far as I'm concerned!

I'm not gonna lie Vince....one of the reasons I nominated you to govern our "new" State was so that you'd be tied up in meetings and I wouldn't have to worry about you in the Pro-Am's! Next I'm going to nominate Tom Burke to serve as Lt. Governor! All kidding aside, I think you've hit the nail on the head: It is supposed to be an honor to serve the people (remember, it's called PUBLIC SERVICE), and somehow being a lifetime politician has morphed into a way to get rich and wield an enormous amount of power. Unfortunately most politicians use that power to their own benefit rather than SERVING the PEOPLE they supposedly represent.

I grew tired of the cost of Sharks, and after talking to one of my friends who uses Troll Rite's I decided to give them a try given their significantly lower cost. I sold all of my Sharks a week later.
