  1. I have a Furuno FCV 667 fish finder for sale. I have the head unit, power cord, sun shield, mounting bracket, thru-hull bronze transducer, and owners manual for it. It's in excellent working condition and is a great color CRT. $350. Email me at [email protected] if interested. Buyer pays all shipping costs or picks up in Ithaca, NY.
  2. Rod, I drove by tonight on my way home and all of the boats there are covered up quite nicely. Bill
  3. I know that dock!!! He was fishing on XXXXX Stream out near XXX's old place!! Just kidding....... Great fish Guy! I love how colored-up they are at this time of year!!
  4. I'll drive by in the next couple of days and see if it's covered up for you. Should it have tarp or something else covering it?
  5. No luck during gun season...haven't really been out too much lately. Again, great deer this year.
  6. Rod, I live about 5 minutes from Don Cook's in Lansing. I can easily swing by to check on your boat. Just let me know which one it is and I'll take a look this week. Bill
  7. FREE gas for my boat please!!
  8. In a tributary just outside of XXXXX. He was in the XXXX pool down around the corner from XXXXX.
  9. We just touch up the paint where it's peeled off & worn thin each year and then re-paint as necesary. Hit the spots where it's come off with some light sandpaper & make sure you've gotten all the loose paint off before you touch it up & you should be all set.
  10. Great deer Jim!!Congrats. You get either of them scored?
  11. Glen, If bottom paint creates any drag I've never noticed it. I've always had my boats bottm painted so I can't compare against going without paint. Nice looking ride Cruccontroll! In Fair Haven you can check Shawn's Marina, Anchor Resort, Bayside Marina, and Fair Point Marina. Have a nice Thanksgiving guys!
  12. Glen, Do you have any growth on the bottom of the boat when you pull it? I gotta figure that if you do it has to impact your boat's performance and your fuel economy?
  13. Definitely bottom paint it if you're gonna slip it for any time. You really don't want to try and clean it after it's been in the water without bottom paint. It'll have all sorts of growth on the bottom that's nasty. There are several brands out there. I've used both Pettit and Interlux and have generally found that you get what you pay for. A good bottom paint will last two + years and the cheap stuff will need to be re-applied every year. Check this link for info on how to apply it: http://www.boatus.com/boattech/casey/15.htm If you want someone else to do it for you, most any marina will apply it for you in the spring. Check with whoever you decide to slip with and I'm sure they can handle it for you.
  14. You must have the 5" Special Mate. What you want is the 8" Special Mate Spoon Box. It'll hold every spoon length out there.
  15. HOLY COW!! Great Buck!!! Congratulations! Did you get it scored?
  16. I tie a loop in the fly leader and leave it like that. On Spin Dr.'s you'll want to add a heavy cross lock snap to the swivel on the back so you can swap them out easily. Pro-Chips come with the snap on them already so you'll be all set with those. No need to re-tie every time you change fly's. Bill
  17. I have two Special Mate tackle boxes and not only do they hold mag spoons, they also hold the Northern King M-80, which is 6" long. Or are you talking about the one Fishtails posted?
  18. I bought that spray paint that's made for painting plastic lawn furniture and just painted them....it's held up great!
  19. He's ROBIN HOOD!!!!!!!!!
  20. I guess I have a bigger problem than I thought I did....there were 83 UNOPENED packages of spoons out there.
  21. Be careful Erby....you might just end up becoming a spoon junkie!! Dave is a paint GENIUS and makes some of the prettiest spoons out there. I have three huge boxes full of spoons and there's probably 50 or so unopened packages of spoons in my garage...I keep telling myself that I can only run one spoon per rod, yet I keep buying...and buying...and buying...and buying...
  22. Erby, I have two of the Special Mate's and I like them. Just be sure to get the one for spoons. The one shown above is for stick baits.
  23. Black, Black and Black are my three hottest dipsy colors. I want the flasher to be the attractant, not the dipsy. I have pink ones, firetiger, metallic purple, orange....painted them all black!
  24. NICE NICE NICE!!! Congrats!!!!
  25. Yeah, the tips on those Heartland rods ONLY lasted two full seasons with wire running through them.
