  1. Would love to see pix of that pig if you've got 'em Stix!
  2. Not much chatter at all today Al. We heard a few guys doing well on browns and it sounded to me like the few who headed out looking for silvers had to work hard for what they got.
  3. It's the same old story in Fair Haven....Browns, browns, and more browns!! Yankee Troller would be miserable!! We fished in 25-60 FOW first thing in the morning and took quite a few healthy browns that averaged 7 lbs or so. Unfortunately, no LOC fish for us today, but we had a lot of fun any way. I was glad to see that none of the fish we boated today had lampreys on them. The browns came on both Dave's KA-BOOM deep shiners and regular shiners in black/silver towed off the boards. We also took browns on the Dreamweaver 42nd spoon fished off the riggers. After a steady morning of browns, we slid out deeper looking for marks. We worked out as far as 250 FOW and finally found an area that held lots of nice hooks and we worked that for a bit and rounded out our day with some chrome & a small king. The king took one of my Hot Rod creations in silver/black/white, and the chromers were all over an R&R watermelon w/grape dots spoon like fat kids on a HoHo. Unfortunately the weather rolled in and shut things down for us so we called it a day earlier than we had hoped. It had been a very nice steady pick. It was great to get out and spend some time with a couple of buddies of mine that I don't get to fish with often enough.
  4. Stix, I appreciate your reports...keep 'em coming! Any magic formula you got for putting big fish on the board (other than actually going fishing, which I haven't been able to do much recently!)???
  5. Al, We're planning on going out tomorrow morning and then again over the weekend. I've heard the reports out of Oswego too. I figure we'll start out in search of a brown for the board and then head out for Kings. Check your pm's...........
  6. Congrats on the LOC fish Al! Great report.......I sure have missed being out there.
  7. Dropped 'em off today! They said they were sending your order out tomorrow morning.
  8. A Forschner it is! I'll check out the links you suggested and order either a 10" or 12" knife. Thanks guys.
  9. I seem to remember seeing a thread about fillet knives somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. I'm in the market to buy a new knife, and I think I'm leaning towards a Forschner. Just not sure which model. What do you guys recommend?
  10. Thanks for the report Al! Can't wait to get back out there myself.
  11. I'll have to see if that's OK or not with GLA. If it is, I'd happily offer it.
  12. Thanks Linc. We'll have to get you out again soon!!
  13. Great fish you guys! Biggest I've seen out our wal all year!!
  14. Great day on the water Al. Congrats! I'm in Atlanta tonight and then in Tallahassee for the rest of the week....so no Fair Haven for me this weekend..... I hope to get back out next weekend and maybe for a day or two the following week. Keep the great reports coming! Bill
  15. Way to go Jax! Now that you've evolved to the world of speed & temp probes, you'll never go back!!!\
  16. Nice looking stuff. Let us know how it looks once it gets here!
  17. We're pretty close to being ready Erbyjoe. Just have to get the new Depth Raider installed & I think we're about set. Bring on the Kings!!!!
  18. I hope you guys get into the Pro-Am...I want to see this comedy show live & in person!!! I think you guys would easily have the most fun out there!
  19. S*** happens, I still can't figure out how I lost a major on Friday. 5 minutes he was there, a second later he was gone. Rod (Power Pro dipsey) was bowed almost in half the whole time, no slack. S*** happens I guess!!
  20. Bro, Sorry it didnt work out like you had hoped this weekend. Glad you at least had some fun with your family & friends. It takes a lot of guts to put your name up on that board every week and see how you stack up. Kudos to you for entering the Challenge Cup this year. You'll do a lot better in Oswego.
  21. There already is a side bet in place Tom!
  22. Those are last weeks results. I haven't seen this weeks yet.
  23. I have one Scotty Pro Pack Downrigger for sale. This was one of three that came on my new boat. I was told by the previous owner that he installed them two years ago. This rigger is in excellent condition, and runs like new. I have the rigger w/two rod holders, the mounting plate & all thumb screws, the power cord, and the scotty female power end& the screws to attach it. Just run power to it and you're in business. These retail for $519.99 at Cabelas. I'm asking $400 for this one. Local pickup only, I will not ship this. PM me or email me at [email protected] if you're interested.
  24. Thanks Erin. I went with the new Mag 10 High Speeds. Those suckers are FAST!!!! And Muskybob, yeah I have to watch myself when she's on board. I wasn't too happy I dumped that King!!
