  1. Thanks for the clarification Ed!
  2. At ice out, we're in Fair Haven chasing shoreline browns for a few weeks. Then we plan to be in Wilson for a bit for the LOC. After that it's back home to Fair Haven for the remainder of the season.
  3. RR, It looks to me like you'd want to remove your existing bases and re-install these. I looked your bases up online, and I don't see on your bases where there's holes that are tapped to accept these.
  4. Holy smokes! That's a LOT of ice!
  5. I have four Cabela's Quick Draw rod holders with the insert to adapt them to Cannon rod holders. OR you can add other bases available thru Cabelas to meet your needs. These rod holders retail for $25 apiece with the adapters. These are in great condition, operate as new, and have all parts. I'm asking $65 for all 4. They're a little dusty in the picture from sitting out in the garage. They'll clean up nicely and look like new. Local pickup only please or you pay the shipping costs. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested. [/b]
  6. I have two Cannon swivel bases for sale. These are the older, metal style. New Cannon swivel bases retail for $99 ea. I'm asking $50/ea. for these. They are in good condition and operate just fine. Local pick up only please, or you pay shipping costs. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested.
  7. Thanks Hank. The deck box is the one I'm most interested in if that one's still there. Talk to you soon. Bill
  8. Hank, Any idea where I might be able to find used or aftermarket boxes for those two spots in the deck?
  9. Drain into the bilge. We used them all the time.
  10. Both gone.
  11. Nope, no fish boxes in the floor. It's all transmissions and drive shafts below deck. Old boat had two, so I never had to use a cooler.
  12. Ray, That's a cool site....I'm gonna give 'em a call & see what they can do for me. Thanks! Take care of that knee.......
  13. I'm thinking about putting a large cooler (120-150 Qt) on the swim deck of my new boat, and was wondering what recommendations/experiences you guys have had with various manufacturers. I'd also like to know where you found your coolers. I'm considering putting the boat name on the back of the cooler with a die-cut sticker/decal. So a I'm guessing that a smooth finish instead of a dimpled finish would be important too. Thanks in advance! Bill
  14. I just heard from Dave Mull at GLA. He said that he didn't know what the issue was, but that it was a "bigger problem than they had originally thought."
  15. Cool emoticons? What cool emoticons?
  16. If you're targeting browns that would be a good way to go!
  17. I know all about bad knees...I've torn ACL's, Patellar tendons, MCL's, Meniscus....none of it is any fun. Take care of the knee and get it ready for spring Ray....and next time call me for a lesson! Just bustin' on ya Ray!
  18. That doesn't sound too good Ray!   You OK buddy?
  19. I heard from GLA yesterday regarding th esite. All I was told was that the were having some problems and were addressing them.
  20. Aaron, It sure feels like spring might finally beon its way what with all the sunshine we have here today! Here's what I would suggest: 1. Hooks are not sharp when they come out of the box. There's a tiny microscopic nub on the end of each barb that's there as a result of the plating process. You'll need to file that off if you want your hooks to be as sharp as they possibly can be. I use a fine file. You can find hook-specific files at most tackle stores. 2. Line recommendation is gonna depend on what you're fishing for. If it's browns, then go I'd light..10# or so. If you're chasing spring Kings, I'd say 17# is probably more like it. I have two different mono set-ups. I think I probably have 6 or so of each. One I keep spooled with 10# for brown trout fishing, and I leave that on all season long. The other I spool up with 17# in the spring, then up it to 30# when the fleas show up. That's my Kings set-up. Additionally, I have wire, leadcore, and copper setups that I can deploy when the situation warrants it. Hope this helps! Bill
  21. Seasquirrel, To protect the innocent, I'll keep his real name secret. But you may have known him as my high school class President....
  22. I'm gonna respectfully disagree with some of you guys. I ran the sharks for a few weeks as a demo last fall and aside from the fact that they track beautifully, I found that they did work as an attactant. I had a couple of the chrome sharks and ran them against my own 12# weights. I had days when the only riggers that would go were the sharks. I loved how straight and true they tracked with very little blow back, but the fact that I had the same set-ups on my weights and couldn't get them to go while the skarks fired was enough to convince me. They definitely attract fish, and I'll be running them this year. The way I see it, if all you want is a rigger weight to simply get your baits down to a specified depth, then go with what works for you. But, if you want a weight that tracks true with very little blow back, and can also serve as an attractant, then the Shark is the way to go. Bill
