Blue Waters, It was VERY nice to meet you and your wife today. I'm glad we got to have lunch and spend a few minutes talking fishing. I hope you enjoy the boat as much as I have over the past few years. I'm glad to see it going to a good home. I'll be sure to leave a couple of Habanero's on the dash as a sort of boat-warming gift. You have an open invitation to our place in Fair Haven if you ever want to bring her back to her old stomping grounds! Rebel, Yes, there's something I want to tell you....I bought a Penn Yan 288 Predator that's as clean as Blue Water's new boat. I'll take delivery of it in April, and at this point plan to have it down at the Bar in May. Here's a pic:

I think Jax is talking about the new Accudepth Plus reels, which are all new this year. I've seen them advertised in Bass Pro and Cabela's catalogs for $49.99. I have two of the 47's here at the house, and I have to tell you that they're a major upgrade from the original Accudepths. I'm very impressed with them. I'm told by the Daiwa rep that the new reel has the same drags, clickers, gears, etc. as the Sealines. Only differences being that the ADP uses bushings reather than bearings. The New ADP comes with an aluminum spool, and is in a new frame that Daiwa is having made in a less costly facility.

The boat has been sold. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest.

Jerry, You know, something I've always wondered about is the slime on salmon. Specifically, how come it washes off the deck of my boat so easily, yet it sticks to my hands like white on rice? :roll: :roll: :roll: Bill

We already have lifts that are a faster ride up than you can get down (well, not at Greek Peak, but elsewhere!), but I bet if we installed that ride at the base we could do some busiess during the summer! Waaaaa Hoooooo........................ :shock: :shock: :shock:

LOVE the Candy boat...I'll keep playing the in the ground i hopes of buying one of my own some day! We plan to be at Wilson for that first weekend of the derby, so we should all plan to get together for a few frosty ones!

I've also heard a lot of good things about the Scotty's. I plan to pick some up this year and give them a try too. Love my Black's though.....

I'll second the Heartland's. I have several of them on board and genuinely love them. In my opinion you can't beat them, especially at $26/ea.

Mick, We put a twist in our line to attach it in our Black's. Some guys half-hitch rubber bands to the line and then hook the band in the release. I've never been a fan of rubber bands.
