  1. The water actually seems like it came up from about a month ago to be honest. When I tried to load the boat in December I couldn't back the trailer in enough. Saturday was no problem.
  2. Do yourself a favor and call Kevin Jerge at the Wilson Boat Yard. He lives in Binghamton, NY, so don't think if your not on the West end of the lake he's not an option. He installs a lot of autopilots. Mostly Raymarine, but he does have a cheaper option in Si-Tex if you are trying to save a little.
  3. Perch bite was slow. Looked all over the bay for them, but they were in only a few spots, and not very active. Best spots we had were right at the first drop by the markers.
  4. I fished Irondequoit Saturday and didn't see one boat all day from Oklahoma Beach to Webster Park.
  5. Mel and I took the tinny out to see if we could muster up a few photo ops. Ran six flatlines in various colors between Oklahoma Beech and Webster Park. I picked out colors for "my side" and Mel picked out colors for "her side." Water was very clear and we had 35-36 degree water the whole way down. With all the run off you would have expected to find some warm pockets at Shipbuilders and Webster Park, but there wasn't any to be found. One of Mel's choices was a Black and Gold Rapala J9. The only one in my box! That went 0 for 4 back 75'. Two strikes between Shipbuilders and the White Cross, and Two in front of Webster Park. On a side note....a rebel buddy of mine hit up Ginna Sunday morning and went 32 for 35 in 5 hours with 5 rods. God I miss that place.
  6. Invitations Teams from the 2012 WHI should start to see invites hit their mailbox today. A word of caution to team captains is to not wait to get your deposit back to us. On top of the 72 teams that fished last year we have 18 new teams waiting to get into this event. We are capped at 75 boats! After Monday January 28th, 2013 we will begin to allow new teams into the event based on when they asked for an invite. Early Bird Drawing Your invite needs to be back to us by January 21st, 2013 to be entered into the early bird drawing. We will pick a winner on Monday January, 28th for a $1,000 prize. This essentially pays for your entry fee! Food Bank Volunteer needed We are looking for someone to head up the food bank donation on the day of the Wilson Harbor Invitational. This person needs to coordinate the event by obtaining people to fillet fish and clean up the cleaning station.
  7. For sale are two Humminbird 1198c SI Combo's. They are less than 1yr old. Only the head unit was used. Comes with everything you would expect if you bought this brand new. Retail on these units at Bass Pro and Cabelas is $2,799.99. They are for sale here for $2,225.00 per unit. Humminbird 1198c SI Combo Here are pics of the actual units:
  8. 13 total. Some never opened. Couple rigged with meat heads. $65 for all. Pick up in Rochester, or buyer pays shipping.
  9. These are just the mounts. No Rod Holders. $30 for all three.
  10. On the Humminbird there is a setting in the menu for which type of water your in.
  11. Happy belated B-day Larry!
  12. Happy Birthday bud!
  13. Older auger that needs blades. $20 pick up only in Rochester.
  14. Rick... my buddy at work just put together that the newest go pro, the remote attachment and then loaded the app onto his droid. he said it works great. the amazing thing is that apparently the remote (your phone) and the camera have a 600' range between the two. So as a deer hunter looking for that perfect video you can place the camera in a desired location and remotely view it as well as control it from your tree stand. Gotta love technology. That's a neat idea!
  15. 21" RCA TruFLat TV. In good shape with low hours. $50
  16. Wood entertainment center with a 28" Sony Trinitron television. Also included is a Sony DVD/VHS player. One remote handles it all! Everything is in great shape! $175
  17. If you have Windows XP you can't use Windows Movie Maker. Anything after XP and your good to go. It's a simple editing software package. Sony Vegas is a great editing package, but sometimes those higher end programs can be tough to understand and operate. GoPro has some software for download on their site, but I have never used it. Editing video isn't fun. At least not for me. We have the original GoPro HD camera, so I have to manually start and stop it. I found with the battery pack and a 32GB card it will go for about four hours. Which, most times, the first four hours of the morning is the hot bite. Apparently, the new WiFi backpack is available for my camera. The nice thing about this is you get remote control over your camera to start and stop it. It also has an APP for Android and iOS where it turns your phone into the remote control.
  18. Definitely worth the trip. I try to go at least once a year, and it never gets old.
  19. I used Windows Movie Maker. Still not comfortable with it, but it was on my computer, so I rolled with it. GoPro has software of their own you can DL off their site.
