  1. IF you wanted to go with a thru-hull, and your a trailerable boat, go with the Airmar B 60. Thru-Hulls are much nicer ducers in that you can see a whole lot more when your cruising. However, run what they gave you if you want a transom mount ducer. No need to spend the extra coin!
  2. Yup, our friend Finders Keepers is putting it on. He will even show you how it's done in his tournament boat!
  3. FYI.....I'd bump that trip back a few months of your going for just Salmon. Although, there have been odd Springs when a decent King bite develops in OZ.
  4. I've never used these Torpedo's I just think you can take two wire rods and be so versatile. You can either run two more divers, or run Torpedo's.
  5. I am not affiliated with Torpedo, but they make different size torpedo weights. With wire line you can fish them from 10' to over 100'. We carry a pair of coppers on our boat from 300' to 700'. That's 9 copper rods. With the Torpedo approach you just need two rods and two sets of those Torpedo weights. They have a dive chart already documented, so it cuts that learning curve down considerably. Run one off each otter boat to get them away from your wires and riggers just like we do with copper line set-ups. One word of caution would be to deploy those things SUPER slow. You don't want them dropping into your wire or your riggers. The size you would use depends on what depth you want to achieve. Kind of like if I want to fish a flasher at 80' I know I need my 400' copper. If you want to hit 80' look on their chart and choose the right Torpedo, and the amount of line they recommend.
  6. For the last few seasons we have been running 15lb McCoy Mean green and leader it down to 8-10lb McCoy Flouro 100. The heavier mono allows us to use these rods for Coho and Steel, and it allows us to throw on a few colors of lead if necessary. Another nice thing about the heavier mono is your baits wont dive as deep allowing you to get in shallower on those high traffic days or clear water. However, out east I am told there is no way this set-up would work as the water is really clear and fish are line shy. Works well from Sodus to the West for us.
  7. If I were you I would run 2 riggers with cheaters, two divers, and buy two more wires, but not for divers necessarily. That extra set of diver rods can be used to pull 4 divers, or what I would do is take those two and use them with torpedos out on your big boards or inlines. This method would give you riggers, divers, and junk lines. With two guys this is a pretty solid presentation you can cover a lot of water with.
  8. Your on crack if you think your pulling a 450 or 600 with an inline. You need something to pull that copper out far enough to the side where it wont get into your wires on turns.
  9. LMAO...Row...Row....Row....Row Like those chipmunks in that allstate commercial.
  10. I think it came from Captain Dick Shantz of Top Hat Charters. Remember that guy?
  11. New never used. Straight 500Gph Bait Pump. $15
  12. 47 Northern Kings ranging from C5 to Mags all inside a nice tackle box, which I think is called a Willie? $50 picked up in Rochester.
  13. A few of us met at the Genny for a little side bet action Sunday morning on some Spring Brown Trout. Both boats took the run East to Irondequoit and set lines. Instantly, it was a blood bath. Some spots would yield doubles and even triples on Browns fishing flat lines with stick baits. We were running our baits 100’ behind the boards, and we probably could have shortened it with the amount of color in the water. Our best sticks were black/silver and firetiger. Our boat made one pass from Irondequoit to the cross and we did 15 fish, but they were all 3-5lb fish, and that wasn’t going to win us any money. We had to turn before we got too far down the shoreline. The SW wind was picking up and it was getting snotty on that shoreline. So, our decisions were to pick up and run back to Irondequoit and fish that same stretch with 8 other boats, or make a move to calmer water and possibly larger fish. Well, we made the move, and it was the wrong move. We went all the way to Braddock’s to find chocolate milk from the point to the Genny. By that time we knew the SW winds were making the troll in our morning waters tough, so we stuck it out in the mud and never took a shot. Lesson learned - don’t leave fish to find fish! Regardless, we had a blast! Can’t wait for this weekend!
  14. Yup, stay away! There isn't room for both of us!
  15. We ran auto oil filters all season, but we are changing them out after every 10 trips. We have been running the Fram filters with no issues, and that came off a recommendation by them Rochester Trojan guys.
  16. Casey - Get off the computer and get back to work. Your going to upset Bliss.
  17. Lol.....yeah, no kidding! [ Post made via Android ]
  18. Nice job!
  19. WOW.....great job! Congrats guys!
  20. Hopefully, next year you will offer this deal. Two of these would be nice, but right now there are other bills to pay!
  21. Pineapple Bombers! I'll get the first round!
  22. Last weekend in April through the End of the derby would be my guess given the extremely mild Winter we are experiencing. Generally, I like the second weekend through the third weekend for the peak bite on the bar.
  23. Wish I had the coin! Good Luck selling this.
