  1. Hell has frozen over boys and girls! LOL Welcome Burke! You said one thing that I liked and that was lets try and enhance the open division so the Am teams that don't want to take that step have a place to learn and grow. I feel that would resolve a lot.
  2. This is tonight. See you all there!
  3. DEFINITELY agree with you there IF this new format takes place. Probably THE ONLY RULE that needed to get changed over this Winter. Personally, I like the format, but I am not a fan of chopping the Amateur division out and forcing them to join the Pros or fish the open division. So what if there was an average of 12 boats in that division throughout the 2011 season. It's a grass roots/weekend warrior/cheaper alternative for the teams that NEED it. As for entry fee. If it's $850 I know you take teams out of it, and that's not the purpose of these changes. Big entry fee tourneys are working, but they are not directly connected to a series. When you make a four tourney series out of it that's a little rich for the average Joe. I'm not crazy about putting up $850 with a chance to win $10k vs putting up $1000 with the chance of $25k. However, this does spread the money out a lot better with this 2 day (60 check) format. As far as the amount of rods a boat is able to use I hate only being able to deploy 8 rods. I'D VOTE FOR 12, which is now the 4 man limit of rods! Although, I guess I could settle for 9.
  4. I run the platinum plus card in my bird, and its a great navigational card. Bill Ruth has both the Great Lakes Fishin Chip, and the Platinum Plus and he told me the fishin chip was a far better map for "fishing". I was at BPS the other day, and I know they had them. Good luck and enjoy that 958. We had one the last few years and it was a great unit.
  5. Could you imagine what the Pro Life people would say about the state killing young innocent King Salmon because they thought there were too many?
  6. OK then, I'm cooled down. Well, about the Kings situation.
  7. Do we ever see a surplus stocking with these "extra" eggs that are taken? For instance if the eye up stage is greater than 70% one year?
  8. Bri - please explain how the Kings should be OK? Will we have our full allotment?
  9. Grabbed this off someones FB page that was at the meeting last night. kings are down from 70% to 50% an down more after losing more coho or i should say what coho from 45% to 9% is all they have left browns are down but no real numbers on how much lake trout is 000000
  10. I know of two buddies running this unit, and both are very pleased with it.
  11. Coastal night lights makes a killer spreader light. Two of them turn the night into day on the back of our boat. They are very popular with guys over on The Hull Truth, and have great customer service.

  13. Quite possibly the BEST bow of 2007! The Guardian was a brand new bow released by Bowtech in 2007. Completely redesigned to increase speed, reduce noise, and improve balance, the Guardian was thought by many experts to be the best compound bow made in 2007 by Bowtech and possibly out of all the top line bow manufacturers. Bowtech Guardian Specifications # Brace Height: 7-1/8" # Draw Weights: 50, 60, 70 pounds # Draw Lengths: 25-30.5" # Axle to Axle: 33.75" # Mass Weight: 4.2lbs # Speed Mod IBO: 321-329fps # Kinetic Energy: 81.6 fpe # Adjustable Let off: 65-80% This bow is complete with a Cobra Sidewinder 5 pin .19 sight. Vapor Trail drop away rest, 5 arrow qwiver, and a dozen Gold Tip XT Hunter arrows. I will also throw in the Tru-Ball release. 29" draw, and currently it is set to 70 pounds. It can be adjusted down to 60 pounds. Set-up and tuned by the best in Rochester! Phil Race of Indian Mountain Outfitters. This bow was very well kept and cost over $1200 when I set it up. Used for NY's archery season and a 10 week 3d league since it was bought. $550 pick up in Rochester or buyer pays shipping. Can bring to LOTSA this weekend also.

  18. so basically what you're saying is that you gave away the rod with the first king of 2012 on it? You're a better man than I am! [ Post made via Android ]
  19. I know the diameter of the Cannon cable is .035 for their 150lb test cable. The 150lb Power Pro is .022 in diameter. You are gaining a little less blow back and no hum on the cable with the Power Pro. Whether or not cable hum is a difference maker no one will ever know. Power Pro is much faster and easier to terminate. With that being said for the price of the Power Pro keep the cable on your riggers. Your not going to gain a whole lot for the investment.
  20. The Shimano is sold. The Eagle Claws are still available.
