  1. Absolutely NONE. There wasn't much time for questions after the break, and I don't even think the DEC knows much about the project with no real proposals floating around.
  2. Dex - was on the phone with Yvan this morning. Announcements will be coming out in the next week or so. It's getting close bro!
  3. You'll enjoy the length on smaller width boats. Helps spread things out a little in my opinion.
  4. LOL.....where are the Hawg Wild flavors? In the Screamer? LOL
  5. Glen from what I saw at the SOTL meeting last night, they have a better than 99.5% marking and tagging rate with the trailer, so if there are a lot of non clipped kings going into the lake, those would be the wild ones. For all intents and purposes, every king stocked in the lake from both NYS and Ontario ARE clipped and tagged. Tim I thought they had trouble getting the trailer over to Canada? I remember hearing about a bunch that Canada put in that didn't get clipped and tagged.
  6. Just sayin', but in a time of financial hurt the last thing the govt. needs to know is there is natural reproduction in the lake. We have to watch this VERY closely, and make sure they don't use this as a crutch to cut back on stocking.
  7. I'm a huge MUPP fan IF we are running spoons for Kings, which those who know us will attest to the fact we rarely do. A MUPP rig is the 28 on the main line and a Mag cheated 5 or 10' above it. Spooks are hot in all the variations mentioned above with my favorite being the Lazer Spook. One of them spoons you don't ever want to take out even when it's not producing, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! I mean the Sea Sick comes out when it's not throwing strikes! LOL
  8. Good to know K. I have one of my tourney team members who has a few. He seems to like them. There is something for just about every angler in the Daiwa lineup.
  9. I thought Ace had one. Ace fishes out of Oswego Chris. However, I know he does his Striper thing down on the Hudson in May before he heads up here.
  10. Another option for the true haters of the line-counter on the Saltist would be the Sealine LCX. Same build as the Sealine with the Saltist drag. You wont get the HS retrieval rate, but it's another option Daiwa has. I picked up a few for the LOTSA show becasue I know many people haven't ever seen one in person. So stop on by our booth! http://www.daiwa.com/reel/detail.aspx?id=505
  11. I want to see this thread hit 10,000 views! I wonder if Chad knows how long the longest thread was?
  12. Just talked to him TollRoad. They are still for sale. He hasn't been on the site in a few days. He's been working. Said he will be on later tonight.
  13. I have used Minn Kota since back in my Bass fishing tournaments day. I had an MK 440 on the Ranger that I just sold, and it never gave me a lick of an issue. Can't remember the model number I had on my first Ranger. One option I might suggest is to add a DC charger too. A 1 bank DC charger from MK is about $100. This charger uses your alternator to charge your accessory battery while on the water.
  14. Let's make this clear.......A certain someone helped you win becasue they couldn't count! You didn't pull a KVD by beating someone by 10 pounds on that day.
  15. I'm talking to your Ol' man Dave! No way he can afford to let you have both of those days off! IF he does allow it I'm sending in Cold Steel's Casey Prisco to prime you Friday night. Roofies in your drinks! LMAO!!!!
  16. I think they are a great product, but when they came out we were already very vested in copper set-ups. For the weekend warrior looking to get into junk line fishing I would suggest buying two extra wire rods and 2 sets of the torpedos. This would allow them to have 2 rods that could fish just about any depth.
  17. Dude, I'll buy your competitors product! [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  18. My meat is dwindling....less 25 right now since my summer weight. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  19. I just want to clear things up right now! This Bloodshot guy is a PANZIE! When I pulled up he was huddled in his WARM car waiting for me. I had to tell him he had a flag. I think he knew it was up, but he didn't want to go outside! LMAO On a side note. The Tipdowns this guy makes are AMAZING. We had a lot of compliments on them this weekend. He really put some thinking into the design, and the sliding counter weight is a great idea. I'm grabbing 10 more from him in the Fall.
  20. I love this complaint about the line-counter placement on these reels! How popular are the Tekotas, and has ANYONE ever complained about the line-counter being on the left side of the reel? The minute Daiwa put it over there, and they did it becasue of the high speed gear ratio, people started complaining about it. Billy isn't a fan of it, and to be honest I would rather see it back on the other side. However, I let that line-counter lay right across my wrist and it makes for a great leverage point. If that's your worst attribute of the reel and you can't live with it you already have people lined up to buy it, but I think the pros will out weight the cons on this reel. Another cool test between these two reels is to hold them without a rod and spin the handles. The Tekota will wobble where the balance of the Saltist is great. Don't get me wrong....either reel is an amazing upgrade from whatever you were using before!
