  1. Tim - It looks like your a winner! LOL We downsize our swivels when fishing stickbaits for BT. We had been using the Spro snap swivels in the 60lb test for Salmon, so on our BT rods we went down to the 45lb spro snap swivels. They are easier to get in and out of some of the smaller stickbaits. It makes it nice to change out baits, but like some have said the snap swivel may take a little action away. Especially if it is a large version.
  2. No genny on this ride bro. According to Bob Buck that will get me an extra....10 or 15mph.
  3. I took one of mine out Rick and only run two now. I had issues with the 3. Its MUCH better now. Of course, with all the crap you're putting on that boat you'll probably need 5 or 6. Heck, your "underwater mood lighting" should have its own battery! You wouldn't want to run short there and "kill the mood". Absolutely not! 6 batteries huh? If it has to be then it has to be! I can always count on you buddy! [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  4. OK, seems like there is only room for 3 batteries in my battery box anyway. The Rochester Trojan fleet is running 3 with no problems. I'm gonna have to see how they have them set up.
  5. Thanks Tom! I'm gonna try to make the Niagara meeting, and will definitely be at the Rochester meeting.
  6. Just looking for some suggestions on how some of you guys with dual engines run your batteries. I understand there is a battery for each engine. I'd like to have 2 additional batteries for my riggers and electronics. Kind of split up the duties a little with all the accessories. I plan on hooking up an on-board charger that will charge the accessory batteries while the engine(s) are running. Of course there would be a battery charger while hooked up to shore power to freshen up the batteries in between outings. One of my questions is do any of these batteries need to be in series?
  7. Someone was supposed to be sending a check for it this week. I will let you know if it doesn't happen. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  8. Downriggers weren't made to bounce wights off the bottom all day long. AKA Laker fishing! "Controlled Depth" fishing is what they were made for. You should try thumper rigs and save your riggers the hassle!
  9. It's all about the Crocs!
  10. Beautiful Dogs Randy! Wish I had the time to spend with one. My life would not suite a dog unfortunately.
  11. We are working on Hotel deals for everyone looking for one as we speak. We will keep you informed!
  12. It's a ton better than the last few years! [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  13. My expereince, and it doesn't hold a stick to yours Vince, has been that a longer colder winter means better fishing throughout May. The fish seem to hang around the Niagara plume longer. Is that what you've noticed too?
  14. Does this lake completely ice over, or is this about the extent of the ice on Lake Erie most winters? Seems our winter so far has been fairly cold. http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/ ... 3.250m.jpg
  15. Good stuff guys! We will need to buy one of these in the near future. Garmin, Ray, and Furuno all have come highly recommended on other sites.
  16. You do know we have Zweigle's in NY, and they are quite honestly the best hot dogs ever..........
  17. Tim, What spoon are you talking about? The Miami Dolphin or THAT spoon? LMAO
  18. I remember that day! What a morning! Nice mount!
  19. These are also fun to troll with in the spring for BT.
