  1. I don't have the Sportsman Channel, but I can assure you that all I need are these short clips to get my blood boiling!
  2. We have 2 reels for sale. They have been used for about 5 seasons, and are in OK shape. One planer reel has no line guide. One planer reel's handle isn't free to rotate. Other than that they are spooled with Power Pro 200lb test, and work just fine. Retail on Big John's website is $80/reel. Would like to get $100 for the pair picked up in Rochester, or buyer pays shipping. We will be at LOTSA for pick up also. A great deal for someone who wants to get into planer fishing!
  3. We bought a Humminbird 958, and an 1157 in the Spring of 2010. We never really had a high end FF. We got by with some of the lower end Ray Marine, and had a used Furuno CRT. We also went with our first ever thru-hull transducer when we bought the Humminbirds. We bought them with a recommendation through Billy V. I had also used them while on his boat the few times we have fished together. We are very happy with the performance thus far, and we are bringing them over to the new ride. Furuno and Raymarine make a GREAT product. We didn't have the money to fork over for those units, and thought the Humminbirds would perform just as good. I don't know if I will ever deal with Lowrance ever again. I had some very poor service from them. I heard the rumor about them hiring those CSR's, but for now I'm all set with them.
  4. Happy Birthday Tom
  5. This unit came with our new ride. We have never had Radar before, so we wont know what we may be missing. If we had room on our dash we would probably keep it, but that's just not the case. I don't know much about the product, but I have heard it was a nice unit and the fact that it has an open array is great. Both pieces look to be in great shape, and it was working when we sea trialed the boat. I don't have great pictures of it currently. Given the packet I received from the previous owner, and how meticulous he was, chances are I have the manual to the unit. $650 OBO picked up in Rochester, or buyer pays shipping cost.
  6. 454's - Sorry we are hijacking your thread Tommy! BTW Tom....do you have any pink fighting belts?
  7. Blacks across the board for us. On our probe rigger we attach a Scotty release to the blacks to help eliminate the probe tangling up with the line attached to the rigger. This tangle up really only happens while going into big swells on our boat. Maybe the new ride will act differently???
  8. Porky - Tell Ricky Yankee said hi! Show is Feb 27th in Lockport.
  9. OK, I did get a response and it is the spoon Jason showed us. I asked him why there was a greener tape under the crushed glow and I am awaiting that response. I did see this with some Moon Crickets this spring where some had that yellow ladder and others had the green. It's possible they used it as a substitute, or it was a mix up. Regardless, I'm sure the boys at DW would make more up for you. It's probably easier if you go through a tackle shop. Who knows maybe they can call it a custom spoon made for that specific shop. I know Fat Nancys does A LOT of this.
  10. Give me a day or so. I just e-mailed a contact at DW.
  11. Lemon Ice has no orange in it tcon. My guess is it might be a custom for a certain tackle shop?????
  12. Correct the Kokanee rod is a graphite bank according to their website, and it looks like they may have discontinued the 8'6" ML Accudepth rods this year.
  13. Close Chris, but that one doesn't have a green border around the crushed glow.
  14. Man, I haven't been able to get any of those target tips to go, but your right on with your prediction. Looks like a target tip in a sister sledge or caramel dolphin paint scheme.
  15. Take a look at the Daiwa Accudepth series. Last Spring we bought 6 of these to pair with our Accudepth Plus 27LC's. I had Hearltand 8' ML action rods paired with those reels, but when they came out with the Accudepth series rods I noticed an 8'6" ML action version. We use these set-ups for our Spring BT trips. I was pleased with their action. Just look the ones you buy over for any imperfections. I have one, just one, where the real seat and the eyes are not aligned perfectly.
  16. Will be there! If they don't sell they will be there.
  17. Would love to move these! They are also great for pier casting for Spring Trout or Fall Salmon! These really have no use on them.
  18. Updated list and added new pricing!
  19. Love that Shiznit! I would have like to seen Runnin Rebels response to this thread. He is a spoon bending legend!
  20. One of these days! Nice job buddy! The kids will remember that for a while!
  21. I'm not crazy about this being up here because the deal isn't finalized. A deposit was put down with the understanding that a sea trial will take place in early April. Once the buyer hears it run then the deal will be finalized. I am sure the buyer and his brother are excited, so I understand. Heck, I could hardly keep my mouth shut when we were looking at 10 Meters.
