  1. Yeah, rumor had it he may be coming to LOU! [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  2. Oops....didn't see this when I posted my report for our day.
  3. Fished Sunday morning with ScottB from about 7-12. Ice is plenty thick and snow covered. We went 1 for 1 on the tip-ups, and had 5 other flags we deemed perch toying with our minnows. ScottB also jigged up a few 9" perch. NO ONE was running for or yelling flag. I think the weather had a little something to do with it.
  4. You deserve it......you do A LOT for this lake and fishery. You give out more stuff to people through donations, freebies in orders, and plain old hand me outs at tournaments than any other manufacture. OK, now answer my e-mail!
  5. The 9'6" Daiwa Diver rods are very nice rods. The price is great too. When we are running 1 wire on each side we choose to run the 9'6" over the 10'6". I have all black heartlands. Currently (All Daiwas): 2-9'6" wire 2-10'6" wire 2-10'6" Mono Slidediver
  6. Steve, I'd pretend not to recognize you too! Im sure your presence helped him remember some things from the past. Keep in touch over the winter, and we will try to get up and do some ice fishing.
  7. Thanks Stinger!

  9. Anyone get that e-mail about having to register all of your guns on the 2009 tax return? Saying there is a $50 tax on each gun you own?
  10. The Daiwa Exceler is a great choice. The reel has been given some good reviews. It's priced right too. I have two of them on my noodles, and I think Billy V has one on his noodle rod. Might I suggest putting a picture of the rod up on here so we can see it?
  11. Sounds like we should support James Alesi in this matter. So send him your thoughts and opinions.
  12. Trust me guys....I plastered this to every representative out there tat I knew was mine and a few others. Tom B's letter was very well written, and it looks like it got the attention of at least one Rep.
  13. Not good eh! Too bad, I was thinking of getting a couple. What is the problem? Dick They r ok for light line and shallow fishing (like under 50') but when your down 100 plus and your pulling flashers with 20 or 30# mono, there is a lot of strain on the extentions, they will twist under the pressure, its a wonder they never failed for the time i used them. I did like the vertical and horizontal adjustment. I use the boom mount holders on all three now. I got rid of the two that were standard with the captains pac also, I prefer the rod tip closer to the water, and the boom mount adjust vertically. It's not cheap, but put the vectors on them.
  14. Here is my response back from Senator Alesi: Hope you can read it.
  15. Dang Tom! That pic of Nog is making its way around the net. Thats funny! I can hear him now doing the Nog laugh!
  16. We run the otters too. Putting the mast on the pulpit is just fine. Lots of guys do that. Don't be surprised of ur otters are riding right out your side window! [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  17. Not a Lake O shot, but this is down on the land I hunt. My dream boat. Orleans Pro Am
  18. I HATE running anything more than a 5 color on an in-line board. They just cant pull out to the side enough. I have talked with the Canadians (who seem to love them) and they told me how to slide the weight forward. Bla Bla Bla, but I just never was able to get them to run out to the side enough. Especially with the copper if it isn't out to the side enough you have a greater opportunity to get that copper to fall into your wire diver. I know big boards take up a lot of room, and to get set-up for them is a lot more expensive than buying a couple of in-lines, but big boards pull these junk lines out to the side so much better. This does two things. One I mentioned above by allowing it to clear the wire divers, and it gets them out of the way to fight fish.
  19. Wow Tom. Very nice. Thanks. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  20. You might want to become a west end fisherman. They are gonna kill your area Brian! There are more fish over here anyway! I'll let you hang down here. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  21. I never thought this would push through.......this isn't looking good. I hope they don't grease the NYS DEC into OK'ing this. I have to imagine that the NYS DEC and the Coast Guard would put a lot of resistance towards this. Poor Mexico area.....fishing is their ONLY source of income. Like Billy said above...it's time to speak up and don't be afraid to YELL.
  22. They look real nice, but wait till you need their customer service. Or when the unit craps out and they give you $75 bucks towards a new one instead of fixing it. I have had some pretty bad experiences with them lately. Been through a few FF's and Combo's.
  23. Thanks.....but let him grow! I don't mind that he has half a rack. Shows me how bad azz he was. Not to mention the whole story of it going down to the last day and getting my first half rack is one that will live forever. He will look just fine Euro mounted next to the other 4 I have Euro mounted, my first Robin Hood, and the Arrow that killed my first buck with the bow.
  24. 30 good years here.....been on the Lake since I was 5yrs old. The ol' man used to bring me out there with his friends all the time. Been addicted ever since.
  25. Very nice!
