  1. I started using them last year. They work real good. I never had any sacks so i was always using these or glo bugs. I would recommend going to their website and reading the peoples comments and buying the colors mentioned.
  2. I saw it last night....pretty cool.
  3. Head down to the city of Rochester. There are some great artist down there looking for work in this tough economy. Most of their profiles are displayed on bridge pillars, rail cars, and outside walls of buildings. Some of the best art I have ever seen. OK, there is my Ray comment for the month!
  4. LL....that's GREAT! There was another one on here a few years ago prior to the hacking. That needs to find the back of a t-shirt or hoodie to promote this site!
  5. Congrats! Nice rig.....Would make a nice tourney boat. So, i expect to see you at one or two .
  6. Nice job! I can't wait my opportunity now!
  7. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice!
  8. The hardest thing to do to is to try and not wrap the fly around the paddle for storage. That will kink/wrinkle up your leader every time. If you can hang them.....do it. If not go buy a large pool noodle and cut it into 1' sections and lightly wrap your flies around that.
  9. Nice Fish!
  10. When they are up high in the spring off the bar they seem to want it faster than the cohos. (2.7ish-3.0) Short cores with a range of lures can work great. Some of my favorites are: Stinger Copper Confusion Dreamweaver SS Orange Slurpee Double Crush Orange in both silver and gold Dreamweaver SS Glow Froggy 00 Orange Dodger w/ small blue or green fly
  11. No doubt it's August! The first few weekends have been VERY good the last few years, but any weekend in August you should be able to stop at the inside water for an hour or two and if that's dead head off shore 8+ miles and whack and stack the Salmon and Steel.
  12. John, Have you posted pics of the new ride yet?
  13. I have two.....the first would be the Sodus Pro Am. The fish that weekend were about as BAD AZZ as I have seen them on gear in the 20+ years of Lake fishing I have done. Just missed out 2nd Pro Am win because of the viciousness of these Kings this weekend. To top it off we had the 2nd largest box of the tourney, and maybe even the whole Pro/Am Trail in 2009. The second was definitely Labor day weekend. The Sunday morning started off with 7 matures in about 45 minutes all on Paddles and Flies off the Flats. One of those hogs would turn out to be the largest fish boated for us in a Loooooooooooooong time! Prolly 10 years or so. HE tipped the scales at 31.14lbs, and to boot i got to share the excitement with my buddy Maniac who also took a 31.12 minutes prior to me.
  14. You SHOULD use mono for your spinnerbaits. Mono has more give than the other choices, which can be a deciding factor in your land/lose ratio. A fiberglass rod also helps a lot. Fiberglass is more forgiving than graphite. Helps from pulling the hooks on the hook set by giving you that extra split second. This goes for crankbaits as well.
  15. I talked to a buddy of mine, Andy Bliss of Chasin' Tail Adventures, and he says there aren't a ton of fish in the river. The Salmon River has WAY more fish right now. Could they be hanging back at Oswego waiting for water? Maybe, but I don't know what the flow is like right now. We have had the rain. Just remember that ANY time spent on the water is better than wishin' you were on the water.
  16. That's amazing! The colors on that fish are beautiful.
  17. I'm a Daiwa man so you know where this is going. They are dependable! They have a few new line-ups this year to boot.
  18. The heartland rods are a fiberglass/graphite composite. The Accudepth rods are new for 2010. I don't know much about them. The Wilderness is all graphite. For BT fishing it shouldn't matter. The fiberglass in the heartlands is crucial for wire or braid line fishing.
  19. My Brown combos are pretty sweet. They are 7'6" ML Heartland trolling rods paired with Daiwa Accu Depth 27LC's. They handle all the browns you could ever catch, and we even took a high teens King on them this Spring without any troubles.
  20. Nice rig! Very versatile.

  23. Motel 6 right across the street from the airport. 49 bucks a night I think is what the sign says facing 390.
  24. Hang on! Hopefully this rain will bring in a good run.
