  1. Great fish! My taxidermist texted me a picture of our boats 30lb fish last week. I cant wait to see it in person. Kind of bummed I didn't reel it in, but I did technically catch it since it hit my corner rigger with my NK SSW Mag on it!
  2. AFW is thinner in diameter than Malin or Mason. This matters in your depth curve a little I would guess. Its also camo in color, which I think helps too.
  3. Feed those things some Alewives! LOL Nice pics!
  4. I knew a guy who's house backed up to it. Other than that....you walkin down the creek from the bridge on Manitou.
  5. I'll be fishin the 1st one out of Dalhousie, but we are drivin over by water from Wilson Harbor. We will probably get a truck to drive through so we have a ride.
  6. All 5 are on Lake O, but only 2 are in US waters.
  7. Uh Oh! Is Rob buying something? A new boat?
  8. That spot has always amazed me as far as no Pike go. I've had tip-ups out there many a times with no luck. The perch always seem to be a bit on the small side too. Its a nice tucked away spot, but I haven't had much success there.
  9. If he keeps jappin on me and not inviting me fishing when he goes to the Salmon river hes gonna get replaced!
  10. Wuuuuuuuuuuu Whooooooooooo! Salmon only!
  11. Yup, I just want to stay away from the Big John's. The sun seems to beat them up pretty good, and we have busted off handles on them.
  12. Im usually a flasher/fly guy too, but when it gets rough, I feel my coppers on the boards tend to fall off when there are flasher/flies on them. I think flasher/fly type baits work well when there is a constant pull. So, when it gets rough out I try to switch over to spoons on the coppers. This summer I had a really HOT J-plug on my 300 copper. It was a #3 Green Mongoose.
  13. Ooooooooooooooo you got jokes now?
  14. Rod length matters, but its the boat that really can tell you how long the leader can be. We run 10' leaders most of the time on our boat. On your spinnies the longer the leader the more whip your going to achieve. For spoons the leader doesn't affect the action. In that case its just a case of how stealthy do you wanna be.
  15. You could get about 200' on that.
  16. Prolly not in 2009, but we were talking about SOMETHING for 2010! Didn't know if we wanted to do a Bear, Antelope, or Mulie hunt yet. Think we are leaning towards Antelope. The Pig hunt is something my buddy wants to do though. He asked me if Id go along, all expenses paid, and video tape it for him. He wants it for the kill and the grub! I have a hard time eating what I kill. Its in my head!
  17. What is a trinity river fish?
  18. I'll try to get a picture of what we are using tonight. Fat Nancy's carrys them. They are a HUGE Plano like box that you can fit up to 50 (or maybe more) flashers in depending on what brand flasher your using. We got them at the Oswego Pro-Am loaded with stuff if you were the first 25 (I think) boats to sign up for the Friday tourney. I'm pretty sure its the PLano XL PROLATCH STOWAWAY.
  19. Nah....too many people there.
  20. I was amazed at how calm he was in Jax's grasp. I just thought he was tired from trying to get out of the line. When Jax set him down he was GONE!
