  1. Not really usefull for trolling applications. It's much better at locating structure.
  2. I may be interested when my current boats break.
  3. This is a two place snowmobile trailer. Will fit up to a 137" track sled. It's a tilt bed clam shell. This trailer is in good shape. Lightly used on the road, but mostly used for storage up at a tug hill camp. Rims and tires upgraded to galvanized rims with 10 ply tires. Maybe 500 miles on them. $2,200 Comes with ski tie downs, locks, and a spare in great condition. Sent from my XT1575 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Lightly used scope in like new condition. Less than 50 shots through it on my muzzleloader that rusted out from not using it in a few seasons. $100 Sent from my XT1575 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. This isn't my fishery, or Bob Songin's fishery. It's OUR fishery and it needs OUR help. Whether it's a DEC meeting or a pen project it's always the same old faces. Well, if it's directed towards me I apologize if you took offense. I attend to 2/3 State of the Lake meetings each year and attend every DEC meeting on the fishery held locally so I can educate myself. It's the same people over and over at these meetings. Yet, on here we can get 20+ pages of rants on the DEC. I'd also like to point out that I am not a full time captain nor one who needs to fish for a living. My brother owns a landscape business and I have a good full time gig in wonderful corporate America. We do it for the love of fishing, showing people a great time while creating smiles, watching kids reel in the biggest fish of their life, and I could go on and on about why we do this. I guess I'm just tired of hearing everyone's comments on here, some that are ridiculous, and they cant make one DEC meeting or help at one of the many pen projects. No need to show them anything as they lurk on here quite heavily from what I've found out.
  6. What an embarrassing turn out! Anyone fishing Sodus to Oak Orchard should be ashamed if they put 1 post in any of the threads on this board talking about the cuts, and then not showing up to get informed of the situation. Everyone has things to do, but if you care about something you make time.
  7. Saturday - Winds weren't nice. Delayed the charter a few hours. Made it out to 100'. Put the Hammerhead cowbells down and headed North to find the motherload. We found them in 180-220' of water, and they were coming as fast as we could get them down. Played with them for a little while until we had a sick crew member. Silver/Blue and Silver/Glow cowbells were all we put down with peanuts and A-TOM-MIK flies. Sunday - We tried combat trolling, but the weeds out front annoyed me. We fished Salmon in the mid water 30-60' and not a sniff. Picked up ran to Irondequoit and fished 50' of water down to Hedges and back. Poked 12 or 13 Brown Trout. Nothing huge. They ate DW Martell SS's, and Stingers in Ludington, Frost Bite, and a UV Black Tuxedo.
  8. Oct 1 on Lake Ontario
  9. These chunks are fun to target this time of year. They love DW SS spoons off our @CannonFishing and @ChinookDiver https://t.co/lIcUhKidtL

  10. Happy Birthday bud!
  11. It's been slow at the Oak. Some fish around, but not many. Water temps are still very warm. You can go offshore and play with 2yr olds and steel. Sunday 27N-28N was OK. Still warm water out there too. had to get to 75' to get 60 degrees.
  12. I'm OK with all of this, and applaud the DEC on trying to maintain a healthy ecosystem. Now if they would only up the LT limit for a couple of years, and get rid of the season on them. With what we know about LT diets when they are pounding the Alewife we should want to pound them to help get that bait level back up to what it needs to be!
  13. Plenty of BT still chewin. Best spoon today was a Caddy Shack. @CannonFishing https://t.co/ACsL0wheNF

  14. How late into October?
  15. This Martel from @FishUSA has been good behind a @ChinookDiver for BT and Salmon. https://t.co/EKnGjK06fH

  16. I haven't been posting much from the Oak the last few weekends. The fishing has been tough most of August. The Salmon on the inside have lock jaw, the fish offshore are small for the most part, and the Brown Trout are hit or miss. Afternoons seem to be more productive than mornings. Below is a quick run down of the last two weeks for us, and some fish P**N. 8/19 - Went offshore in the morning. Picked a few fish mostly small, but we did grab a 27lb Salmon out there on the 34N line. 8/19 - Went offshore for our afternoon trip. Slow pick but everyone on the boat handled a fish or two. We grabbed a 25lb Salmon out there that really made the trip. 8/20 - Slow morning for us. We went 2/4 on the inside looking for 3 KOTO fish. Familiar Bite took both fish. 8/20 - On the afternoon trip we went off shore. 14 bites in 3 hours and then we had a wicked storm come off land. We had to chug into the worst storm I've ever been through for 12 miles. 8/21 - We waited for some storms to blow through. We knew it was gonna blow up, so we stayed inside and picked on the BT. Best spoon was a Stinger Frost Bite. 8/27 - Tough morning. We hit one mature inside, and went 4/7 offshore. 8/27 - Stayed inside and picked on the BT for our afternoon trip. We got on the BT pretty good. 2 triples! Biggest was 14lbs that hit a Lyman plug on a 200' A-TOM-MIK copper. We actually hit a triple on BT with an A-TOM-MIK fly, a Stinger, and a Lyman. 8/28 - Slow morning. 1 mature and 2 BT landed. A few missed shots. We stayed inside the whole morning hoping the Salmon or BT fired up, but they never did.
  17. There is so much more to it than diver size. It also comes down to brand of wire, brand of diver, currents, and thermoclines. A standard LJ diver "typically" will go deeper than what you posted at that distance, but I haven't had a standard LJ diver hit 100' yet on a 2 setting. Love my Smart Troll!
  18. Fish below 200' are harder to catch than fish above 200' in my experience. What kind of weight were you using? No way you were down 290' even with a 20lb shark.
  19. Sometimes it's just the way it goes. If you're running F/F set-ups tighten them drags down a little on the dipseys for the initial strike.
