  6. First things first.....THANK YOU to all veterans for defending this country so every American can do what we love with the freedom you grant us. Saturday We took a nice boat ride West about 12 miles to the chrome domes and set up the spread in 80-150' of water. It was a great morning bite with a mix of species. We had DW Martels and Sea Sick Waddlers going on our Cannon downriggers. DW Fire Cracker SS going on our 5 color Stealth Core. Stinger Frost Bite went on a 200' A-TOM-MIK copper. Later in the day DW Metalic Frogs took both of our decent Kings off a 60' Cannon downrigger. It was great to see some big Steelbows, and we were lucky enough to get a nice Atlantic. We had the smart troll guys on board, so we used this opportunity to dial in our system. It's a neat system to say the least! There are a few minor things that they would like to address, and this trip also allowed them to learn more about how us Great Lakes guys use this compared to the Striper fishing they do in the Chesapeake. Sunday We went to the same water from the day before and it was void of marks. The bait was still in t here, but the fish had moved on. We fished between 70-200' and ended with 3 skippys. We made the decision to troll into to check Brown Trout waters and we were rewarded with 2/3 on Brown Trout in the high sun at 9:30/10am. Two took a DW Blue Bubble SS on a 5 color Stealth Core, and the big one took a DW SSW on our Cannon downrigger at 24' over 30. We ended teh day Lake Trout fishing. It took us 20 minutes to get our guys their 4 Lake Trout. 2 of them were beasts! One at 15lbs and another at 20lbs.
  7. Ummmm.... And the DEC says Chinook are the Alewife killers? Good news is there are all the year classes right there. https://t.co/zR90NZKh9B

  8. Some silvers around at the Oak. Fished near chrome dome today. Nice box. @CannonFishing @HumminbirdFish https://t.co/b5E7HFM9zb

  9. Great job bud! Looked great on the water.
  10. Ooohhh look at that blade! Chrome Butcher coming soon from familiar bite! #salmon #fish… https://t.co/ik7b3wc0XA

  11. This is where we fish ours too.
  12. Real classy JakeyBaby! See ya at the dock this weekend Ken. It feels good to be at home port. Let's hope for a great Summer.
  13. Took the GF out to catch her a fish. Fished the front door to the flats. Zig zagged between 60' and 110'. Managed one Lake Trout in an hour and a half. Only put 3 rods down on the riggers. DW Sea Sick, Stinger NBK, and Hammerhead Cowbells on the last. Guess what the LT took? Marked a few fish, and very little bait. This was my first outing at the Oak, so it's very possible I was not fishing the best area.
  14. http://cart.gltsupplies.com/ They should be in stock soon.
  15. No, we don't typically miss that many. They just weren't hitting great. Lots of the fish we landed were hook poorly.
  16. Thursday - We put in a 12 hour day on the water. It was mediocre at best until 3pm when we found a temp break on the boarder in 250' of water. We took 4 matures in an hour, so that gave us a starting point come Friday. Friday - We weighed the biggest box of the event on day 1. The break was still there, but we fished it as it was dissipating. A-TOM-MIK Blue Glow Hammer/Smartfish Wonderbread started the morning off, but Familiar Bite meat and Whip Flash paddles did most of the damage. A-TOM-MIK 400 and 500 coppers, 150 divers, and our deep Cannon downrigger. We boxed 12, lost 5, and sent back 2 unders. Saturday - How do you not go back to that water? Although we knew it went away we had to try it. Well, it was only good for 1 fish. We picked and ran to the bar in hopes we could salvage the day on Cohos, but that was a bust. We went fishing from there and were able to box 5 fish. We lost 6 or 7 fish, and had a few shorts. Just a few bad decisions that led to a poor performance. Sunday - We fished with the pack in the morning on the inside, but it was dead in there. We pointed it north, and once out there we located another temp break. We worked that the rest of the day boxing 11 fish, losing 7, and tossing back 4 or 5 shorts. We weighed the second biggest box of the event on day 3. Day 3 was more of a spoon bite than meat for us. Top spoons were UV Caddy Shack, UV Black Tuxedo, and UV Two face took a majority of our fish on A-TOM-MIK coppers, wire divers out 150', and our Cannon downriggers in the top 80'.
