  2. The Yank is scheduled for a March 23rd splash! 29 days away!
  3. Call Mike @ Webster Eye Care and see what a new pair with the 580P or G is. Tell him you know me and you fish.
  4. They want $100 for 400G? Or are you upgrading to a 580G?
  5. Are they Plastic or Glass lenses that scratched?
  6. Spring Brown Trout ACTION! - Multiple hook ups is the norm when fishing in April! Come experience it! https://t.co/PYhszbLGYv

  7. A good friend surprised me with a totally cool custom trolling rod! https://t.co/46jPAegAnD

  8. I would also recommend Jeff. He's done some work for a few of my buddies. I use a guy in Canada, but logistically that might not work for you.
  9. Administration Stuff - I am working on updating the Registration Form, Rules, and Payout Structure with current dates. I hope to have these published by mid next week here on LOU and also on our Facebook Page. Spread the word! Let's make the 2016 event HUGE! Bracket Info - We will be holding the bracket tourney again this year. Last year was a first for this, and I know a lot of people had fun with this. I am going to take sign ups for the brackets here on LOU starting June 1st. For every 8 people we will open up a bracket. If you sign up for a bracket I will post time slots for your bracket to meet up at the Cafe to pay and draw your position on Friday evening. We will have the $250 and the $100 brackets again. Each bracket will pay a winner, a runner up, and a Knock Out. To be eligible for a KO it will be the largest separation between two scores that weigh fish. Tourney Dates: Oak Orchard Open - June 11th & 12th Paying by check deadline - Sunday May 29th Paying by cash deadline - Wednesday June 8th King of the Oak (KOTO) Friday June 10th Sunday July 24th Saturday August 20th Sunday September 4th

  11. French and I thought you were going to slit your wrist after last years tournament season, and now you want to go to Lake MI? You guys are nuts for wanting to go there. Larger fish and better payouts on Lake O! What happened to you're "done fishing tourneys?"
  12. Scott in talking with other Lake MI teams the payouts in the "host" tourneys is nothing like we have here on Lake O. Like Russel said 3-5k for first. We get that at our little Oak Orchard Open. We see teams from Lake MI every year coming over and competing for the big payouts we have on Lake O. One of them fishes 3 events on this lake now.
  13. Chase - looking forward to the WHI footage. I was bummed you got yanked from our boat as a cameraman.
  14. I can tell you I did, and that's not like me. These guys know I have no problems talking, but that camera rolling leaves me speechless.
  15. I can't imagine how tough it is getting a team to commit and go fish another lake hours away. There are a few that do, and once they do it they are generally hooked, but it's no easy task. If there is anything Kevin or I can do logistically to help let us know.
  16. That's F'n hilarious!
  17. My first copper was a 600' marked every 100'. Ran it down the chute and put out what I thought I needed to get to the fish I was marking. Great way to get into copper fishing. I think a 500 would be just as effective, and your reel choices are much broader.
  18. Are you KIDDING ME!?!?!?!? He'd be all doom and gloom! Oil prices are down we're all gonna starve. The market fell 3 points. Better sell your boat! I DON'T THINK SO MATTTTTT!
  19. Humminbirds menu's haven't changed in years. The menu on the new HELIX series is the same that was on their 7xx, 8xx, 9xx, and 11xx series which is called the "core" units. It's very user friendly with menu tabs. For example a Sonar tab, a Settings tab, a Navigation tab. I've used Humminbirds for 7-8 years and in that time frame I've fished with friends that had other brands. I haven't found one that would give me anything EXTRA that my Humminbird doesn't already give me. They all will show you fish, bait, and structure. It's the back end that really matters if any issues arise with your units, and I can tell you Hummibirds customer service is top notch. If you, or anyone for that matter, have questions on running Humminbirds on the Great Lakes call me or shoot me a PM.
  20. Great point! You can catch BASS in just about every state in the US. It's a HUGE market and more people fishing bass tourneys in one town than do Salmon tourneys on Lake Ontario. It's where the $$$$ is at! If this is what you've always wanted then why did you alienate your pals FK? They were ALLLLL about this! You guys want some drama? I'm talking Salmon DRAMA!?!?!?!?!? . . . . . . . . . . . I'm calling out Russel to bring his team to Lake Ontario! I want some of their MONEY! I'm editing this to add that I'm bored at work, I've fished a total of twice since the boat went away (very rare for me), and I'd really like to see more Lake MI teams come fish our events with big payouts.
  21. The guys at Salmon Showdown do the WHI for us. It's not cheap, and a good chunk of sponsor $ goes to pay for this. I think we had enough footage from this last tourney to make this series more exciting than last years. Problem is that trolling the Great Lakes is a tiny market. Bass fishing and saltwater fishing is where the $$$ is at. Lets be honest here...bringing in 5-25lb fish on coppers and leadcore aren't exciting!

  23. Quick update on the invites. We sent them out but over half were returned to sender. Apparently the USPS wasn't a fan of the frosted envelopes with clear address labels. Please let us know if you didn't get one, and don't be alarmed if you received two. Take the spare and talk another boat into fishing the event! Deposits are due by February 21st. This is also the deadline to be entered in the Early Bird drawing. Registration is now open on the website. You can register your teams for the WHI, 1 K A Day, and the Salmon Slam. Wilson Harbor Invitational
  24. It'd be cool if I could talk a teammate into jumping overboard with the rod in hand to not get spooled!
