On Saturday I did 20 majors and everyone came in 62 degree water. Like a said in the past once the kings are stagging inside 150 fow throw out fishing the temps and its now a strictly color and speed.
The only thing I like to add is release the babies in the creek instead of the lake and create a buffet for all the predators. This guy will eventually find the lake.
I said last yr at the end of the yr. Salmon fishing seemed odd. Yes we beat up mature kings but the 15 to 18lb class is not there. I put a lot of miles on my boat this. I tell you I have not broken the 18lb mark of salmon. I honestly believe there are not many mature fish. We will know more after this big blow.
I use bloodrun flea line and that line works great. But I tell you what the fleas on Ontario are easier to work with versus the fleas in the finger lakes. Down here they load up on copper, cores, rigger, spoons. You name it fleas were on it.
Take and throw the ghost line in the water. We ran it 2 yrs ago and the line looks like rope in the water. Our fish catch ratio dropped. We switched back to maxmia and our catch ratio went back up.
When I was in mass, I got pulled over doing 85. Officer said, a was going to slow and I was holding up traffic. Stop signs are a suggestion in Boston. That's a crazy state to drive in.
My question is, how many of you guys caught stock Lakers in the couples yrs? Its been almost 3 yrs since I caught any. And fishing getting worse on Seneca. I remember the days where I would get bored catching fish. Now I stop fishing Seneca because I got bored washing lures.
I was out there with you. Took a 15lb king on a big weenie flasher and fly off a rigger down 57. Rest of my fish were dinks. Tons of bait and fish all around. Just couldn't get any of those big marks to go.
First couple hrs of a big east blow the bite is on, after that then your in search mode. If its blown for a couple of days run off shore and go play with the steelies.
