yeah fish deeper for the bigger landlocks...around 50 to 70 ft...top lining will only catch the little ones, those little buggers inhale the whole spoon...not matter if it a single or treble hook your digging the spoon out...run flasher and fly and the big weenie vibrator flys for lakers and you be surprised how many other fish you will catch with them flys...

the okuma clarion reels are 60.00 dollars cheaper then the Daiwa saltist and they are just as fast and the drags are just as good.....

the new okumas clarions work great for copper and the are 6.4 to 1.

i love my saltist, and yes yankee is right the clickers are week on the 30's and line counter position suck but over all its a good reel.....the okuma clarions are also a good reel the drag are awesome and they are faster then the saltist....

ive seen big boats there this yr...i used the launch for the last 3 week with no problems...just trim you motor a little and you be fine...
