the easiest way to catch spawning lakers is to run 2 rods with 10 ft off the bottom with 10 ft leads. set up fishfinder to read the bottom. look for the lakers once you find then troll past the for a sec put ur boat in netural for couple of sec, let ur lure sink down into there face put back in forward and watch ur rods pop. anything green or yellow works the best. i showed this trick to kremer the last time we were out and he was suprised.

i run 12 lb weights with little bow back. i fish in depths from 60 to 110 on the finger lakes.

12:30 the rain stopped and the sun came out. i called kremer and ask if he wanted to fishing. i told him the bite will be on and he said sure. well the bite was on. when we found the fish all hell broke loose we ended up going 13 for 15 with 3 hrs of fishing. we caught fish on all our riggers and dipsy. 70, 80 ,90 down going in and out from 90 to 120, dipsy out 230 and 210. trolling speed is 2.2. all flasher and fly bite today. white spin drs and green dolphin spin drs. our hottest fly was proctologist fly and the rubber glove proctologist . followed by corn bread and uncle pinch. all from big weenie. rodney said he will post pics later, but he has to get permission for his dog atleast he said his dog ate his cord.

i use the new dawia accudepth, and have no problem with them. i payed 30.00 for them but i bought through a buddy.

think im going have to take a trip up to this lake again and play around. its been almost 5 yrs since i fished there.

fished seneca again today with rabbit and kremer01 we went 9 for 10 2 lakers and 7 landlocks. lakers came on the wire 240 silver e chip and big weenie bone yoguler fly, and a mt dew big weenie flasher and a aggravated frog fly. all landlocks came off cheater, mixed veggie lure from warrior spoons. all the fish that was at the salt plant have moved. so we spent most of the day in search mode. picking away at the landlocks.

fished south end of the lake today ended up going 12 for 12. 7 for 7 on landlocks and 5 for 5 on lakers. all fish were decent quality no marks, fat and healthy. all fish but one came on big weenie flys that im testing for them for the 2010 season. corn bread, collard greens, killer yellow, and aggravated frog. i just stayed in one area worked it all day. im not giving up the spot because ill be there again fishing tomorrow. new aggravated frog new corn bread

fished seneca today with trolling keuka and kremer01. we went 7 for 8 with 2 landlocks and 5 lakers. we took 1 landlock off a gator spoon and the other one came off a green dolphin spin dr and proctologist fly from big weenie. the green dolphin and yellow killer flies from big weenie was our top producers for the day. what suprised me the most today was our wires was picking up fleas. there was lots of bait and fish all around it. water temp was 54 degs. all the fish came at depths of 80 to 100 on the riggers and 220 to 240 on the wires. tuesday weather looks good thinking about heading out.

todd when i seen this thread that trip came to my mind. the good time we had, rods popping, fish stealing our equipment, and the trip i had trying to grab a dypsy.
