Great report on opening day guys! Sounds like there were some fish to be had out there. I missed opening weekend this year due to weddings and other family obligations (also missed last night's NY Musky Inc. meeting as well for similar reasons.... grrrrr.....). Anyways, I hope to get out soon enough for first NY trip. Anyone know what the water temps were out there down on Chautauqua (north & south) and other areas? Thanks, Chad

Had a good time fishing this past week with family and friends. Was able to boat a couple nice fish but starting to get ready for musky season to open now. Just a quick reminder that if you don't already have a pair of hook cutters, think about picking some up before the season opens. This guy below swam away to thrill another angler someday because of it...... if not for those cutters and a jaw spreader this fish would have surely died. I know this practice is widely encouraged by all avid musky anglers and groups like our friends at NY Musky Inc. Chapt 69 and Niagara Musky Association (NMA). Correct me I'm wrong but I think the NMA might even offer a discount for a quality pair of NIPEX cutters. Hope you all have a great memorial day and a special thank you goes out to all those who have served and are currently serving in our armed forces. I know we have a lot of LOU members proudly carrying that recognition.

Thank you for posting Matt - we have a TON of vets and service men/women here on LOU. A special thank you to all of them. -
Hi Nick - Jerry and I thought you would be the BIGGEST beneficiary of the new LOU app giving your past live reports that we love watching so much! If you go under the settings page within the app you will see options for PUSH notifications. If you turn that ON, then you will get instant notifications through the app just like you do for emails. I use it to follow specific forum, topics that I participate in and also private messages. As the app continues to "evolve" we will work on bugs and provide push notifications for updates. I'm glad to hear you guys are enjoying it - we have received great feedback so far and couldn't be happier! Cheers Chad

Hi Lagerhead - there is a way to view the tweets. You have to click on the following FORUM (at the bottom nav) > LAKE ONTARIO FISHING > FISHING REPORTS (Instant Lake Wide). This is a link that will take you to the LOU Tweets page. It will open a new webpage to view it outside the app. MikeyP - thank you for sharing that info. I wasn't aware that there was a minimum iPhone requirement. I know that many carriers are currently offering an iPhone upgrade deal. See links below for details for ATT and Verizon: ATT http://www.att.com/att/trade/?WT.srch=1&wtPaidSearchTerm=upgrade+phone VERIZON In the left column, UNCHECK "APPLE" under BRAND/PLATFORM and CHECK "APPLE iOS" instead to view all the iphone devices. If you just leave APPLE checked it will only show iPhone 5 and not the cheaper 4s or 4. http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneOverviewByDevice&capId=156&osName=Apple&&deviceCategoryId=1

Otisco Tiger Musky Tournament - May 11
BlueEye replied to NitroMusky's topic in Musky, Tiger Musky & Pike (ESOX)
Hi Mike - The software automatically resizes LARGE images down to be "web friendly size". It won't resize SMALL images larger because then it would pixelate the image and look really blurry. If the picture is small to begin with (like yours) then it will post them as is without resizing them smaller. I can see the images you posted fine even though they are a bit smaller - I don't think it is an issue. I'm sure Joe will want a larger version for PRINTING purposes. Cheers -- Chad
