Hi Chas - Good question. After the upgrade, the main URL structure changed so it is going to take Google a little while to RE-INDEX the site and update the URLs. This is a temporary issue that will go away as soon Google bots crawl the site and update the URLs. What is happening is that Google still has the old site URL's indexed (those pages don't exist anymore) so when someone clicks on them, it defaults back to site homepage (better than an ugly 404 page error message). The issue will go away by itself given some time. Thanks again Chas Chad

I have a couple fishhard and I've always liked them and never had a problem with them. Twili-Tips were added when I first bought them and I think that has helped a lot.

Haha - I'll see what I can do Greg

untilSouth Shore Association 6690 South Bay Road Cicero, NY 3039 Eastern Lake Ontario Salmon and Trout Association will be having their Nautical and fishing tackle sale on March 16th from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the South Shore Association building on 6690 South Bay Road in Cicero, NY. This event was held in Mexico NY last year but the location has been changed to provide better access and hopefully better weather. This years location is only approximately 3 miles from the Rt 81 Cicero exit # 30 just north of Syracuse. A large quantity of used fishing tackle as well as new tackle will be available and also some boating equipment. The used merchandise will be selling for a fraction of the original cost so don't miss it. If any one wants to sell their own used tackle, there are a few tables left to rent at twenty five dollars per table. You can rent a table on your own or share it with some one. To sign up, call or text Jim Duncan at 607-756-7922 or Bill Pingel at 315-252-6439.

Thanks everyone! It's funny to think of my father now as "Grandpa Larry" This is the first grandchild for my parents and the first one for the family as a whole so everyone is pretty excited. It's a "new wave" as Tom mentioned and I'm sure it will take some getting us to (just like updated website) but hopefully in the end it turns out to be even better than the old status quo

Hi Mike - We have one classifieds forum that allows users to mark topics as FOR SALE, WANTED, SOLD, etc. Everything is in that one forum. If you click on any one of those tags it will filter down the posts for you (i.e., click on WANTED tag and only the wanted items will show). Here is a link for example: http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/index.php/tags/forums/Wanted/ If your post is from several months ago, then you might have to scroll back a couple pages to find it. You can also quickly search on topics you started or participated on your username at the top right hand corner of the site and then selecting "My Content". I'll work on getting a video together to better demonstrate if you think that would help. Thanks again - Chad

Hi Matt - Thanks for the kinda words. All the old posts got converted over. We shouldn't have lost any data in the transfer. We had just over 217,700 posts when we started the conversion and everything converted over successfully. Are you not seeing any old posts? I am able to see them all on my end so just want to double check if you are seeing something different. Thanks! Chad

Jim - thanks for the kind words. Mr. Clean - we transferred over all the exact smilies that we had from the old website so they are exactly the same as before. Trying not to change too much initially here.

Guys - thanks so much! I'm blown away by all the positive feedback so far - its been amazing!! Not going to be making any more site changes (except bug fixes as we find them) for a while now just to let everyone digest the new look and get use to it. Judging by the amount of posts and activity today though, it doesn't seem like it is taking many users very long to get the feel for the updated look. Still I think less is more right now so time to just sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend Won't be long now till the open water season begins
