  1. Nice report Joe. We all know how tough it can be out there sometimes. I would have LOVED to have fished pre-tornado or pre-cold front but unfortunately I picked the wrong end of the week to take off. By the time I got down there I had no boat and a huge cold front had just moved through leaving the fish inactive to say the least. Talked with Mike Sperry that same day and he was unable to get any hits either and said the lake would need couple days to set back up again after that cold front. Didn’t see any other boats out that day catch anything either – tough luck for us both with the boat breaking down and the fish turning off after that cold front. At least we got to meet to nice folks over at the Chautauqua Marina. Hank – this means that when I pick up my new boat, I might dropping back off my old boat From what I was told it is something with the carborators. They gave me the kit number that we would need to order if we wanted to try and clean it out/rebuild it. As for now, I am stuck on shore Even uncle Jerry is under the weather so the Rebel option is out as well. I’m going to string up my bobber and worm setup now…
  2. Cornelis, To clarify, this is not a hack on the website by any means. It is ironically known as "Forum Phishing". This is someone from overseas that is hired very cheaply to create an account on the website and the send out PMs. Your email addresses and all other information is never shared and is as secure as can be. We don't store any credit card info as that is all handled by PayPal. I'd be happy to explain in even greater detail if you need. The suggestion of "drastically strengthening" the security of website is comical in that the site has never had any issues of hacking in the past several years of any kind. So it would be very hard to drastically improve upon a 100% security track record. Understand that this is a real person who created the account and then went through manually to random members and click on SEND PM button and copied the same text over and over again. Hope this clarifies. For more information see the following link FAQ's: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1861645 Thanks again - Chad

  9. You go straight 80lb floro leaders from the end of the leadcore to the lure? What is a good length to run the leaders? I have wire rods already setup and ready to go as well.
  10. Brad - Definitely going to be trolling deep water but I usually like to keep tight on fish when I find them (i.e., tight figure 8's) so I have not run leadcore for muskies in the past. Apparently it is a great option that I have for the most part overlooked (I'm still a rookie at this ). I have access to some leadcore rods and may convert one over from salmon to musky. Any advice on how to rigg a leadcore for muskie? Only used them for salmon fishing before.... never toothies.

  15. Great group of musky guys here Musky Lips. I have met most of them in person and they are a lot of fun and always willing to share lots of info with you.
  16. You might have to work it a little more than that Zach. Try quick jerking actions to add a little more wobble and jiggle to entice the more nostalgic ones into striking. Also remember that not all keepers prefer the high speeds (5+ mph) that you are notorious for - I had to slow my presentation wayyyyy down to get my keeper to strike Pink & Champagne flower-scented lures work great in mid-to-late evening and on full moon nights. Get the right conditions and you can work the lures at a faster speed and still achieve the same results......

  19. I had to figure-8 her at the boat several times to finally get her to bite...... but after that, she didn't put up much of a fight
  20. that was the TEST and she passed... so now I figured I better marry her. Plus she is just over the legal size limit to keep (she only stands 5 feet 1/4 inches tall).
  21. And to think I bought her a life time fishing license for Valentines Day last year (true story!)
  22. Are you telling me I can't fish in BOTH musky tournaments AND get married on the same day? Sounds like fun to me
