When I was dealing with Bob years ago I got way more for the $$$ then I spent. i had a HOT order in from him because I had family coming up to fish , he drove down from Elmira and met me at the Dandy market in Sayre. Drove to my fish camp with a order in Lodi , came down to Lodi to fish with me left 20 or 30 spoons in a box on my boat , came over two times 1/4 the way up the east side of Seneca to meet me with a order. Then I had one of his test spoons that was kicking ass on Bows and Landlocked salmon. I got a hold of him about wanted to put an order in for them and a few more spoons. Just could not hook up with him on it. At that time he was going big time with Lake O spoons so I thought he was making more $$$ at that so I just gave up. I know I pushed his spoons on this site but what I posted and the pictures of the fish caught with his spoons were the REAL DEAL. Come on Bob take care of this stuff I would love to get more spoons from you !!!!!

I don't think his motor is a mag 10a , the hold down bolt hole look different...... That is a great find on those motors !!!!!

Works best with perch , but gills and crappie are not bad.....

SWEET looks great !!!!! Sometimes ( I don't get many ) I like to get a pot of water boiling add a bay leaf , crushed red peppers , a shot of lemon juice , cut the fish into bite size pieces , have a bowl of ice water ready. Put fish in the boiling water , take out when floating and put right into ice water....... make some horseradish sauce , dip fish in ................

new cable has a coating on it. coating should all be removed where the cable hooks to probe or you can get a bad signal or loss of signal.

You more than likely did this , but this is a cause. New wire connection to probe totally bare and probe connection clean. Some also put a wet rag over antenna .....

I think you may have answered your own question. Does the 958 have stand alone GPS nav charts ? If not then when you don't tie into the 998 you would lose them....... seem like if you tied the 998 to the 958 bow it would also lose them.

Yes , different toggle switch and board about $100.00 in parts. You can see how the other one is wired inside and follow that. VERY important wire wrong and you fry the board.

You right if the board was shot the motor would not run with changing the toggle switch from three prong to four or the other way around...... Been awhile since I did that to mine......

Screwy Louie has the 10a circuit boards. $75 for the last one I bought , but you can change the toggle switches out to make it work without Auto-Stop.

They also have some sleves on the rigger shaft that wear out and could cause drag on the motor. They don't make them for the 10A any more but you can trim the knob off the mag 10 so they will fit the 10a also a good lube helps. I have a bunch in the barn , my son thought the motors could be rebuilt but I upgraded in the mean time.

There are other ones out there , a buddy of mine gave me smaller size that 4 of them came in a bag with a zipper, use these for my go,to lures. I'll check and see if they are in the boat and let you know that outfit Pap , maybe I left them in the shed at fishcamp..... -

Pap turn them over so the back side is in the sun , had a few cook the paint on some spoons when I was in my boat hoist with out a roof on it. Now I keep that in mind at the end of the day. GREAT product !!!!! -

I had a lot of issues with mine , the latest up-dates seem to help a lot ....be ready to NOT trust what you see on the screen and turn the unit off to reset.
