  1. Ray I have a older TALL base that I messed up bad if you want it for parts I'm sure the spring loaded lock pin is still OK , I'll trade ya.......... I'm in Pa. now will be back up to Seneca by Monday at the outside.......you can pick it up there or I could meet you some place.........let me know.

  3. That's too bad , it didn't look ruff up here but I saw on the radar the south tip was getting some greif...............good call better safe on shore any day.
  4. Digi-Troll ? Best bet if you can't get one from someone here is to go to Cannon site for Authorized Service Centers copy there phone #'s and start calling. That's what I had to do for a motor housing. They can re-wire it and make it work like a Mag10 with auto stop. If your handy you could do it yourself. with these parts 1212386 - circuit breaker 10 amp 1296831 - Wire Jumper 2286792 - SWITCH - UP/DOWN CONTROL drill hole for switch in housing , connect the above you can get a diagram from fish307 site. then you will have to ground your wire on the rigger to the steel shaft that run thru the spool by taking nearly all the wire off and run a piece down into the hole in the spool against the shaft. I cut a small peice of pipe insulation down to fit it hole and hold wire against shaft. Or take it to a Service Center and they do it for $100>00 or so.
  5. indian , I had to take what the lake would give me for FOW , because of the weeds. I would try and stay out of the "flat" looking areas these will be full of weeds. The 175' FOW seemed to be best the two days I fished when I could stay in it. I've been taking most of my hits on 3.5" spoons , the other day it was a Mi. Stinger alwife, Today was a custom job black/white with a peral scale die cut and black cup.
  6. I got the fuel pump rebuilt and went out with Bill son this morning. Started across lake and could not get better than 15 MPH out of her so we fished this side. Picked up 3 lakers lost a nice rainbow ( came out of the water behind the boat) and one other fish. Biggest laker of wire rod , white SD blue dots and BW fly ( vibrating type) 170' wire out , two on down rigger dodger peanut back 15' down 73'. Lost the rainbow on rigger down 51' back 45' spoon (made by buddy) orther lost fish was off the peanut dodger rig above.
  7. WTG Eskimo Joe................. .......
  8. I would not do that , you could run a spoon back and a slider above that less tangles that way. I have two cannon balls on the bottom of Lake George so have your cluch/brake adjusted good bottom is very rocky and I could not get the cannon balls back stuck in the rocks. Lake is very clear so diver out and down work good. Smelt is main food so slim baits work better than full bodied flys. I fished out of Roger Rock campgrounds and a east , west troll produced better than the north south but I always was there in May....................good luck it's a great area.
  9. It's been some time since I got out but that's another story. I been having some problems with the main motor running at WOT so when I went out at 5PM Hoot was with me. Good thing , we didn't get far and it was acting up so I'll have to replace/rebuild the guts of the fuel pump.I was setting up deep and Hoot was driving one line in the water and he said the steering was sticky so I got a can of WD-40 out and gave the tube a shot.................next thing I know it was locked up could not move it.Pulled EZ-steer off and used kicker to steer. Put one more line in water fish for about a hour and picked up a 18.5" landlock.......took boat in using the kicker , when backing trailer in saw that one of the bases for the bunks was broke........I got the steering unstuck but still have to take the fuel pump off and its rainning like heck right now......
  10. ...........for as hot as it's been vaporlock (sp) or maybe the vent is getting plugged with wasps (crap) !!!!...........
  11. Great fish Nick! Congratulations!!
  12. IMHO there are two types of flea's the Spiny water fleas that 30# test will handle well and the fish-hook water flea that hangs on to 30# and causes the bigger problems.
  13. I have roller-bunks I got thru Cablea's a few years ago only put two on and have the reg. bunks with the glide stuff on the other two. 20.5' Starcraft works well for me, I launch by myself at Lodi on Seneca all the time.
  14. I don't fish this but it reads like you may have also missed this rule.....how long did you look for the "line" to weight in ???
  15. How do you use it? Anybody? I have a few reels with just 30# FF on them for when the spiny fleas get real bad. FF will twist easly so when I spool up for the first time I will run all the line out behind the boat without any thing on the end.Run trolling speed for a bit then reel back on add a bead , a top of the line ballbearing snap swivel. The bead will keep junk out of the ballbearing fouling them up and causing twist. Seems to work fine for me , before doing it this way I had line twist so bad it was better putting up with the flea's.

  17. I've been back at camp since yesterday have not been on water ( my lab's still some what sick) but we have been getting some heavy wind out of the north that will be pushing the "good" water out of the area. So you will have to look for them. If you fish the east side around Lodi (north or south of it ) with a sw wind be on the look out for the weeds to "move" in on you some time after 8:30 am to 10:30 am if they are not already there. Me I would give the area right out in front of Severne a shot going north and turn back just before the shoals start below the showboat. Nothing going head over to the east side straight across and troll north. Keep a eye out for LARGE weed pods as you come up to Lodi Pont and the point a mile above it. Watch for "flat water" when you see this weeds are what causes it some times thick some times just foalters.............good luck and have fun.
  18. Thanks, PolarBear how you making out at Raystown ? I'll be heading down there for the 2nd time this fall.
  19. Neat one step before a shore lunch way cool.............
  20. They are thick in some areas wide open in others normal for Seneca , it's day to day thing this time of year most points will have some on one side or the other.
  21. They were good , cooked up the laker and smaller LL both the same way. The laker was good but the LL was GREAT.........
  22. Seneca 6-25-2010 We didn't do to well today 2 for 4 both lakers 17" and 23.5" . North wind moved all kinds of warm in. Pick both up on spoons.
  23. Thanks Dave.............
