Nice report thanks for sharing. We hit the middle today went 5 for 9 , 4 lakers and a landlock. Dropped the first three fish landed one then dropped the next one geshhhish getting a complex. Dodger peanut did most down 75' , 15' off the ball. Picked the landlock up on a bare spoon ( no name buddy tapes them up) down 65' back 40'. Best depth was 125' to 135' east side direction didn't matter much speed 2.1 to 2.5 GPS.

..................also infatables only count IF you have them on when checked...........

Yes I just got one in the mail from them last week. It's bit differnt from the old origanal (sp) tad cheaper. No wire from top to box (but you could put one on) to keep the lid from flipping against it self when you open it. Also has hole in bottom where files hook too. Still a good box for the price shipped to your door.

WTG lakebound88 , I'm glad we didn't head out that morning the wind was crazy around Lodi Point , had waves coming from the southwest and west then the wind made it's huge change out of the north could see those out waves flaten out from that stiff wind. Rain ,snow , sleet sunshine , raining only in a 8' cirle in the yard just plain weird!!!! There were three footers coming into the marina................

Zebedee, Sorry it took so long to get back to you but we lost power at camp for over 20 hours after that crazy storm went thru and I just got back home here in Pa. a few hours ago. Now my depth for one fish on a bare spoon was 110' after every thing just shut down for awhile and Jason gave me a shout that he picked some up with a deep bare spoon , ALL the other fish were also off the riggers with either the dodger peanut rig or spinny and BW vib fly. I'll also say this I never went in lest 85' FOW looking and was on the east side the whole time. Most of the time we were out there we were working 100' to 125'. Now with that said there are in MHO two strains of lakers in Seneca those that you can seem to always pick up deep and those that will go in after the bait no matter where it is. No Clue was up last weekend jigging (sorry for that dirty word) and did very good from 60' to 80' , I've heard this from him many times I'll be out deeper 10' to 20' or more doing ok and he's doing very good in the skinner water.

Buddies came up for southern Pa. and Hoot we fished east side from 1.5 miles below Lodi Point to even with Samson. Went 11 for 17 biggest was a tad over 26". Talked to Jason a little bit they were into bigger fish. The same SD with the Vib fly was the best and worst it did the most fish but also was the one that lost all the hook ups. Think I'll re-tie it and put my own hooks on it. The next was a dodger peanut , then a M stiger alweif spoon. 100' down , 110' down and 130' down. 5 to 10' back on the sd , 15' back on the dodger and 30' back on the spoon. Lots of junk in the water so keep a eye open when running WOT. Oh all Lakers.

No problem Irish56 hope you got it fixed. When I was out today I took some downrigger wire hooked it to the side of the shaft where the cluch knob is and then held it on the down rigger wire. I hit the up switch and let go and it kept running till I pull the wire off...............now all I have to do is run wire off and make sure it hooked into the shaft and I'll be good to go. Thanks guys.

Jason lake is almost flat now , wind is near 0. I talk to you in the morning what time you heading out ???

Thanks guys , it just seems if and I know I didn't hook the cable wire to a spring cable I didn't see one. That that would only affect the short stop. This one did have a "plug" (hard rubber) into the setscrew hole , would be for hold the downrigger wire intouch with the setscrew and shaft??? I took another look in side extra wiring and a small circut board that my other mag 10 a's don't have ion control???). I think I'll just take the switch out of one of mine and put it in and see if I can get it to work like them. Thanks for the help guys.

First time on the water for 2010 went late about 12:00 noon spent the about a hour dropping downrigger down and bringing them back up getting the wire tight. I put two I bought over the winter and tore down one of them and one of my old one so the wire was loose. About 1:30 pm I had two lines in the water running SD ( that I had yet to get a fish on) with BW vib fly on one and a new fly ( forgot name) on other rig both downrigger. Ran them up tight the vib fly I tied as long as I could with the other at 22". I had two hits on the vib fly and landed two lakers 25.5" 5#6oz and 28" 5#10oz. Every thing was fine but the one new rigger ( Cannon Mag 10A) to get it to come up I had to hold the switch same as when it went down. Being I tore this rigger all apart could it be the wiring ??? Or just the switch gone bad ?? Best depth from 100' to 120' down 100' back 5' speed was 2.5 or better on the GPS , guess that's the key for these spinny's

I see on the site what you are talking about and found this in the rules. I guess till they would reach the 1,700 total it would be as stated in rule #25. A good question would be how many are signed up now !! From there site :

Very good point here , I went with the $120 tite-locs they have to be checked a LOT but after three years they stay tite NOW. I could not beleive how loose they got so fast !!!!!!I would NOT go any cheaper than these for sure for dipsy................but you never have enough rod holders.........I just picked up some off of Bill V that mont to my down rigger mount a bit $$$ but made way better than the tite locs.............and the tite locs will still be on the boat !!!!!!!!!

The biggest problem I had was junk in my inline fuel filter. The first year with the E10 I changed it out three or four times. I then started and still add StarTron to each fill up and it's been OK since. Stabil also makes a E10 deal in both the marine grade and regular brand also. If I had know this I would have just used that because it's always been great before for me on over the winter storage.

WELL I TRIED!!! PRO/AM COMMITTEE and everyone.

I have a 1988 loadrite with a 20.5 starcraft. It has a cluster of 4 rollers first (as you bring the boat on) these are for centering the boat on the trailer, then two sets of bunks. I removed the lowest set with and put on bunk rollers also added a rubber roller where the frame and tunge meet for steep ramps ( bow would hit it coming on the trailer) and guides on the sides to help center boat. The only way those rollers on the trailer would work was if I pulled the boat up to them watched as the boat got straight then backed in farther. That's was fine with two people but I fish alone alot !!! I also put the slicks on the bunks. If your tailer is in the sun make sure you back in too far and get those slicks wet or will may go on a bit hard. Mine goes on fine now as I back the trailer in and water just about covers the tunge , I then pull it on the trailer and only have to winch the last 18" or so........... If you post a piture I may beable to tell if we have the same style trailer......then I can take some picture so you can see my set up. My biggest problem is that the bunks can flip over if I hit a pot-hole when empty..................

WTG guys , thanks for the call Jason. I'll be up on the 15th to open camp but have to run back here to pick up 50 trees to plant. I should be back up next monday or tuesday ready for splash down. I bought two differnt riggers over the winter and also rebuilt/repaired two so I hope they run OK !!!!!! If not we'll just run boards and dispys...................see ya all on the water soon !!!!!
