sound like the shot stop board is shot , you ccan replace that or order a 4 prong and it will work but no short stop

short stop ( I posted auto stop ) is three prong non short stop is 4 prong

did it have auto stop ? if so new switch would not help if auto stop board failed.... or you bought a auto stop switch for a non auto stop unit

Im not 100% sure but leaving it out some are you not taking a chance it would work free from the steel shaft and the spool could just "free spool" ? When I had them I took another piece of bare wire sild it in the hole from the allen screw and held it in with a pice off a swim noddle...

I have a HB 798 tied into my terrova/ipilot/link also the lakemaster chip. Still figuring it out lakemaster contour lines are not to close to the real depth....... using it that way tied to the IP that is all you can use it for at that time. Do you just plan on using the two for that ? If so it sound like a good deal. The 788 transducer were junk when I bought mine a few year ago work for awhile then crap out.

75 82 85 also have some of the 2000 but wore them in the rain and whatever may not be good enough but you can decide. If your are going to display them in a public place with a note of credit for my buddy that gave these to me over the years you can have them..... if not I'll keep them....

Take circuit test meter set to check continuity , touch the steel shaft on the rigger spool , touch the steel on your klincher..... if circuit is complete your short stop is shot......

Back in nice boat ride Carol , King and I had a good time fish didn't want to play..... surface temp west side 62.5 to 6e * down 30' ,55* lots of buttonball crap but in scum lines mainly a few floating weeds and green scum down 40' , 51 * Kinger jumped in the lake when we got back guess he was a tad hot.....LOL ran three spoons to start out from 35 FOW out to 56 FOW changes spoons went out to 75 FOW then 100 fow turned and headed back too camp went out in 150 fow of water dropped two spoon riggs and a sd off the riggers , put another sd on the slide diver wire rigg.......... put the I-pilot in messed with that awhile got the bugs out then hooked to HB fishfinder with lakermaster chip following contor line..... we both got a head ache getting it to work but finally did , hope Kinger was watching rods......LOL Pull things up and went in fun day !!!!
