I'm in the same boat your are only I own a X4 now and have owned and used the other brand before that needs coated cable...knowing temp and speed at the ball will put more fish on your line....... hands down I'm going with a X4 for the new boat , BUT I just don't see where the extra $100.00 or so is worth knowing the excat depth.................. so someone change my mine before I buy......
Ok , going to be put one on a new aluminum boat.......do's and don't for a heads up......... will be adding two transducers and a X4 transducer to it.............
Thanks
Ed

Thanks,
It came with the boat , CC three rod holder on each side of the console and 4 down each side of the boat........ I have seen them else where before but not sure they are as heavy as these...
Liks Pap said but also on my tractor it goes from pipe to hose in places. Hose is very $$$$ but if a tad long it's easier to deal with........ maybe check with New H. , John Deer or the like...............
Just a heads up before you move down here to save some $$$$ and keep it out of N.Y. pocket.
Our gas WAS about .10/gal cheeper because of N.Y. extra taxes........... Pa. just went up and will go up more from a tax increase of .30/gal
My better half and quite a few other that I know down here work in N.Y. state or for a N.Y. state company .... last year or the year before N.Y. state passed a tax law that those people had to file in N.Y. state on wage tax...... she has been paying N.Y. state tax right along from her wages but didn't have to pay Pa. ...... now with this new law ALL her income is subject to N.Y. state tax % .... in other words even thu it was not made in N.Y. state what was made in N.Y. state was added to it to see what % of what was made their she would be taxed !!!!!!
Anyway just check into the tax end before you pull the trigger , we don'r have many D.H.'s messing with our using guns in N.E. Pa. but there are a TON of them in the Philly area trying the best to be like N.Y. !!!!!
Good luck what ever you decide....... My better-half more than likly works for the same out-fit you do.... stock = LM
You have posted about worring about tracking your cannon balls , I don't think the trasducer on the DF will do that at deep depths.................. 100% agree on the leader material for the RIGHT use
Maybe check with here for some help with the legal matters , I'm sure Mindy would help all she could....... when you get ready for donations count me in..............
