We usta hunt them all the time down here then , when USA was making a" migratory bird Act " some D. A** from the USA put the crows in it.......................then being under Fed regs. the sates had to come up with seasons and rules and such...... in Pa it became a PIA to hunt them with the extra rules ..........anyway seems like the just kept getting more and more........ never saw crows just eyeball you along the road when they were eating on a road kill like they do now always flew away for a bit ................ I know we would spend quite a few weekend chasing them down all over using a mech. call ............

Just let it dry good , the thing with the coated stuff is : as it wears = small hole for water to get into and stink.........

These with that type cover COULD be putting out a nasty sent trail for you.....rip it off and paint flat black.....

Cracked lower unit?...... no oil , no crack .....

I pulled the trigger on one before the season a year ago....... pricey but worth it if you want a picture and then release... or just helpping with a good release...... IMHO....

Good luck with your new unit pap.......I'm not a big fan of pancake riggersballs BUT a lot of people like them..... think a good down current could tangle up your riggerball if you were running them a tad to close to each other...... I have a mold for 12# round balls with a small fin on the back that's what I run........ some people have picked up 13#'er from troutman on this site . All I've seen is good feed back on them...... I'm also not 100% sold on the 83/200 that HB has ..... but then HB has a history of bad transducers...... I think my old Raymarine L 750 50/200 tracked my riggerballs the best...... I can do it now with the HB 798 ci HD with si ..... need to keep turning up the sensitivity ..... the 798 has a GREAT picture of whats below the boat easy to spot fish hugging the bottom............ need a lot of tuning to get it right but as said above it's a great unit when it's done...... also not sold on the GPS part of HB but never put the time in to fine tune it ( that's the big quetion WHY do you have to FINE tune it ????? )

I have these Ball Babbies scewed on a board and put it in the conner on the floor..... some guys make the same thing out of sewer pipe a lot cheaper .... I've have a old one not not diamond with 3 stones works good for normal blades...... not a good fit for thick ones...... the first time you'll need all three stones then if you stay with them only one...... insure you count the number of times for each stroke for each side.....when you get down too your finest stone only make two (2) before flipping to other side......

How does it work for mower blades from push mower , 7' fishing mower to brush-hog ????

Did you also download all the newest updates ??? I know my 788ci and 798 si have ajustment to releave the surface clutter......

When I upgraded last year I went with that , cost about $100.00 more BUT if your in deep-trouble they would know right where you were !!!! It should be close to what you want to spend but I think they are a tad over $200.00.......
