Cuomo signs law requiring boating safety courses
ERABBIT replied to L&M's topic in Open Lake Discussion
PWC Operation - Education is Mandatory for All PWC Operators: •All personal watercraft operators must take an 8-hour classroom based boating safety course and successfully complete the proctored exam before they can operate a PWC on any waters of New York. •Programs offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the U.S. Power Squadrons are acceptable. •Young boater safety certificates previously issued by New York State satisfy the educational requirements. •All PWC operators must be a minimum of 14 years old - no one under the age of 14 may operate a PWC. •No one under the age of 16 may rent a personal watercraft. Those under 18 years of age wishing to rent a personal watercraft must possess a boating safety education certificate. so if a Captain or anyone had a course thru them they would be exempt !!!! -

Did some thinking over night on this and ended up with a headache ...... anyway for what it's doing I would have to have atleast TWO carbs loosing fuel at the same time..........so I tore the fuel-pump off.... too a look-see inside and it was not pretty...called Barretts , took it up and they ( Fran ) rebuilt it for on the spot........back down here put it back on and seems fine..... will see after winds dropps down or in the am.....not going out with IFFY motor when it's windy out...... anyway the bulb stays HARD now...... never saw a fuel pump go so fast.....any who put that on the list of reasons the primer bulb will not pump up hard..........

Well I messed with motor for about three hours today and didn't gain much other than two carbs leak gas thru when you prime it ( take cover off on front of carbs), no air or gas leaks from line to fuel -pump back , flushed the carbs out both ways thru the drain port on the bottom of them and air back thru the carbs..found one line on top of fuel pump that looked iffy so I replaced that...ran better but still issues after a few minutes of idling.. then have to pump primer bulb , try to start and good for a bit again.....then the same deal will stall and not start till you pump primer bulb again.... .... looks like I need the Frog guys…… what’s the best way to get the right guy down there before I call ??????
