  1. If it's like that you have the + and - leads on the switch hooked up backwards and take the chance of running ALL your wire off your rigger !!!!!
  2. FLXTroutman Great time and story........ Oh I just got DA TIE in the mail so I'll be fishing with it next week.............keep up the great reports!!!!!
  3. Thanks....... It's slllooowwww but we we not fishing prime-time..... ....... here is the Hoot !!!! with his brown and the salmon.....
  4. Over cast looking like rain then the heck with it gave Hoot a yell and down we went about 9:30 ish........ worked a deep area that had some big bait pods around picked up a 17" salmon and boxed him.....then tryed going north with out much luck........finnally picked up a dandy 22" brown 5.5# great fight went air born two times and put a BIG smile on Hoot face...... worked that area for some time and nothing........dropped deep rigger down two 81' after a bit picked up a laker but him in the box with the brown and salmon.........Hoot said hey all we need is a bow !!!!! Ok out deep increase speed...... nothing one more pass and we were going to call it dropped speed a tad outside rigger goes....................17" bow and put him back pulled lines went in all FLT spoons the UV alwife taking two of the 4 fish...............got a picture of Hoot I post later !!!!!! Keep a eye out still lots of JUNK in the water and they seem to have stopped letting water out of Seneca so if you don't have down speed it's WAY diffent now....close too backwards from what it is normal.....
  5. Yep three times he helpped me out , met me in Waverly , part way to Watkinsglen and the first time he came to my camp with my order !!!!!!
  6. Back out today for about a hour again..... worked deeper water all spoons not even a peck this time.....then went after trout..... 2 for 4 one laker and a 4# bow.... boxed the bow after a fantastic fight.....while I was working him in doubled up ....stuck that fish fast then work the bow to the net in the boat and back to the other fish but it was gone..... the bow was wraped up in the net some so I boxed him and quit for the day..... 52' on the bow dirty spoon with orange dots..... 71' on other good fish dirty spoon no dots....
  7. Got a No-Clue start today around 11ish........... played with the perch deal for a good hour..... in-line board /// /////???? hard to tell what's going on......flat line ....... rigger had some pecking again..... changed out sticks and put down small spoons....... then went out for some trout....... picked up a laker 37' down in the bath water !!!!!! banged a 19" salmon 61' down UV green dot alwife...... picked a 14" brown up same set-up...... then I dropped a rigger down to 71' with FLT chic ken feed.... rigger goes off...... can't move it.... head shaker like a laker... still can't move it ....gain a few feet ..... line goes slack..... bit off .....either a pike deep or that laker took the spoon way back in and finnally line got cut thru with his teeth...... anyway looks like time to call Bob up to replace some spoons that I'm down to one on.........
  8. level wind reel you could count passes , first check number of inches line per pass...........
  9. Thanks Justin , I didn't go into much detail on what I did yesterday but learned some from it....... it was FLAT , I ran three riggers with spoons , NOT stinger size next one up , I had some "pecking " going on the deepest one ( 23' ) so I increased speed so they would not have as much time to look at it....... banged bottom a few times so I decicided to fish for sliver fish time I got chased off the lake...... Think I'll try the sticks next time out 1 rigger , one flatline and a inline board with three colors of core.....and 40' or better
  10. thanks for the info Dick !!!!
  11. Well I got out for a short run just before 2:30 pm gave it a go till 3ish started looking bad....... west wind had picked up so I went out deep changed a spoon or two ..... picked up a rainbow down 71' on a dirty spoon/gold back three bright dots....... looking worst and some rain coming down so I pulled up and went in........ just got boat back to camp and it cut loose .....got wetter covering boat than I did on the water......
  12. Thanks ....... I should be out there now but I wimped out with the front coming in....... looks like it's laying down now...... they were calling for 15mph winds looks like 3 now......
  13. Well I guess I'm a dumb- butt , did some looking for charters online out of P.O. trying to read between the lines without any for sure whom it may be.................. anyway in MHO I think your post has shot the GOOD guys that charter out of that port much as the dude you had the run in with and this whole thread should just be deieted !!!!!....... that said I'm reporting this post and hope it just goes away.......sorry for the BS this guy gave you BUT ........
  14. Thanks everyone !!!!! Got me pumped up on this .......still down home but will be back up some time on Sunday ....... we'll be giving it ago next week....... any thing on time for them....early ....mid-day..... late afternoon.....
  15. That's my shallow water program ALL YEAR , just don't stretch the leads as long as I have to go deeper......... so you think I'll need a 70' to 100' lead ??? Thanks
  16. Sure if its not too much trouble , what color on the stickbait ???? Thanks
  17. I don't have copper....... may try and run three color core off rigger and let the three color drag a bait in the mud.... !!! Thanks
  18. Thanks , scorpion size is what I ment just didn't take it far enough ....... will also give FLT smolt size ago.....
  19. Seneca perch ??? I’ve been doing well with my shallow water spoon program and was wondering if anyone trolls for perch on an ongoing basic ??? How and what they try just general info no HOT spots I know how that goes and I'm not looking to be spoon-fed just a helping hand....... Here is my plan ..... what do you think ???? Thinking about giving it a go when I first came up to this wonderful lake in 1996 all I knew was bass and such. It been a long road learning and a GREAT run didn’t have this great site then to help out and save a few $$$ along the way buying or doing what works……………with that said I going to run stinger size spoons , long leads off the riggers and if weeds are not bad a 3 color core inline board with small spoon… if I don't get bit I'll put down small plugs ....... I also have a had full of walleye type spinners that I'll add a little meat to , red worm or slice thin some salmon bait I have........ Any ideas on this ???? If you don’t want put it out there for the world to see just PM me…… Any info I get thru a PM I’ll sit on and keep to myself…… Thanks
  20. Yep !!!! Hey the laugh at me....... I have a AUTO - Pilot and it sits under the CC all wire up and took it off the wheel because of drag making mannuual steering a PIA................... anyway NICE job out there.....
