  1. Nice....... what size was the small brown around 10" ???? I have not got into any they ussally stock them in April ,May !!! Thanks for the report !!!!
  2. WTG Les...... about time you did a little work to get'm biting over there.......
  3. thanks for the report great results !!!!
  4. Yes they are Les , I had to re-weight that 8.5#er in the picture it didn't look that big........was dead on as the boys said..... then I put a tape to it just shy of 23"........ over 7" from it's gut to the top of it back !!!!!! just a fatty...... well they are back it Pa. by now my son met be half was awhile ago.........
  5. Hit it early and quit early so they can get ready and go home...... at the launch at 5:45am...........pulled lines at 8:45am..............they wanted a few more for a fresh fish dinner tonight so we boxed a few.................went 4 for 4..........laker , 17" raibow , 4# brown and 8.5# brown ...................WOW !!!! All on Bobby Fuller spoons ...... dirty spoon with red dot and gold cup took the browns and the rainbow.............the dirty gold trim white cup took the laker................. 51' ....and 71' ............
  6. Ok , guess we'll give it up....... I got the timing a tad off but you can get the general idea ..... at the launch 5:45am pulled last line and had every thing ready to head back to lauch at 9:45am ....... kind of a grand slam + the landlocks we got were 8" to 9"ers every thing else a legal size............. What a suprise to hook up with a BULLHEAD 37' down trolling at 2.5 to 2.7 speed at the ball !!!!! Seneca 8/4/2013 Up a tad before 5am boys up 10 minutes later , coffee made and got ice ready………..had a cup and asked them if the were ready………… got boat ready and Kingerboy and off we went…… quite a few boat trailer empty already in the lot when we got down there about 5:45am or so………….got ready with three spoons and out we went…….. made a major run to a different area hoping for a good mix………..set up and started troll north…………after 20 minutes or so 71’ rigger rod goes straight up………I power crank it in the rod holder nothing……… NOT a good sign ………………. About the same amount of time and it’s throbbing some and Andy jumps on it and lands a laker we shake him off in the water and set up again…………………same deal a bit later and Patrick lands a laker we shake off at the side of the boat……. 51’ rigger goes and after a short fight fish is lost at the surface way back….. not going like I thought so I gave them three choices …….. that said another major move pulled lines fired up big motor and off we went……………. Set up again and it was a slow steady pick……. Two small just stocked this year landlock ………. Two legal rainbows we shook off at the side of the boat…………a BIG rainbow 23†to 24†we lost in net range by the boat ( just as well they got to enjoy the fight and we never had to touch the fish )… that was pretty much my fault I saw marks at 35' , 51' , 61' and 71' so to cover the 35ish mark I put a slider on the 71' rigger, when the fish hit the slider put up a great fight then with the 6'+ slider line and 8.5' rod he was at the back of the boat jumping around and the bottom spoon slammed the eye kinda of a sudden stop just enough for him to come off. I did warn the boys about that deal I'll take the heat for that one……….. Now we needed a BROWN of all things after we beat up on them yesterday……. What to do pull up and make another major move or that what Seneca will give us…………..we stayed just moved more south with a pull lines spot picked about two miles down the lake…………..middle rigger goes 37’ down…….. what ??? no it can’t be……………. A brown ………………….BULLHEAD !!!!!!!........ we chat about that for a bit and that rod goes again……. With one of the two small landlock a talked about before just out of place here a tad but any way………………51’ rigger fires…………….. BF chicken feed I think anyway it’s a 4# brown get him in picture and back in the water………at that same time Pat was fighting the brown the 71’ rigger goes off ( third fish on this cheater BF UV alwife ) with one of those rainbows I talked about earlier…….. anyway ended on a double and a grand slam + a BULLHEAD !!!!!!! Mr. BULLHEAD...
  7. We are back in pulled last line at 9:30am..................5 rigs in launch when we got down there at 5:45am.............. we will put report up later with some pictures released every thing today........
  8. Fish on do you have any picture of these ??? Also PM me a price for 4 sets of two...............
  9. vicarious September gives me fits crazy temps , thermocline can go way deep I get my most SKUNKS then pluss the winds pick up, just fleas and weeds a P.I.T.A. now ...... thing warm up again and we'll have another BIG hatch of fleas........ I could not handle the pressure Les could not come up with a grand slam todays in arow............ I told them that was more than enough for anyone that's why we went across looking for some bows and landlock......after they got their limit they didn't say " Hey can't we get yours also" made me feel good..................anyway they said the have enough fish now to make their mom happy so we'll be playing CPR in the morning ( but I'll keep any landlocks over 17 or 18"..... just taste to good !!!!! ).......
  10. Here's how long it's been for those boys.......
  11. You got it Les it was totaly the best quality fish day I've had on Seneca.............. Up at 5am coffee made boys up shortly after ...... told them if they want some big fish they have to get up and yesterday made it easy for them........... get down to launch and bs for a bit with Seneca Cheif Chater said we would give each or a heads up ...to a look at some spoons we both had and heated out each to a differnt section of the lake............. set up out deep and hooked up with a laker on the move in ........ran into weeds cleaned lines went a bit farther up and BAM same rigger 61' down land a 6# brown......... run into more weeds no fleas at all pick up a 16.5 " brown and a 4# brown on a double.............clean some more weeds off...........pick a laker up at 41' ???? in the soup...........clean some more lines off........ Pat just a picking on Andy cause he has the big brown today....... Andy yakking back at him ......funny stuff love the pick'n..............anyway ..... 61'er goes off Andys up.....bib fight big fish..........in the net...... 8 #'s......... now the yakking starts all over againnnnnnnnnnnnn.........LOL......we work this area and talk with SCC....... have 8 fish in the box they both need one more so we leave the area hoping to get a bow and landlock............got the down speed at 2.7 or so 61' rigger go's off Andy is up...... good fighting fish sun beating down hard to see......... I yell it's a sliver fish.........get it in the net and some where along the time I saw the sliver fish it fell off and a laker picked it up............Oh well Andy was done............radio blasted a sever weather warning so we spun the boat around and headed south back in the direction of home..............61' rigger fires again.................. Pat works it in ............ in the net 7# brown........what a day !!!!!!!!!! pull lines and head in about 10:15ish and they have their limit......... Only two spoons took fish today both Bobby Fullers special paint job he did for me ........ I order so many of the same color style he talked me into fixing them up some...............so I asked him for some red dots on top of the black ones and this spoon has been good for some time now............the one that was hot today he did his MoJo to it and it was ON FIRE !!! Thanks Bob !!!!!! Bobby spoons
  12. Seneca 8/3/2013 Just got done cleaning 10 fish for the boys .............they had the game hats on today.....went 10 for 10............ 3 lakers and 7 browns by 10:15am or so...............more info and pictures to come I'm on break.............
  13. I have fished from the Lodi launch for the past three days and fished in 4 differnt locations...... today was very good ....... 75% of the fish have come on a north troll direction......5% on a major turn...... 41' and 51' have been the best for rainbows and landlocks.....today the bigger browns liked the 41' rigger........ I've only run one "small" spoon in the past three times out and it took a good bow yesterday....... DW ss size have worked well and Bob Fuller FLT I think it his mid size spoon and a few speacial paint jobs he's done for me have taken fish every day...... GPS on top is way differnt than at the ball........... I go 2.2 to 2.9 at the ball for the other fish and lakers have to like it or leave it..............today I needed a laker and dropped speed at the ball to 1.8 to pick up the laker for the grand slam...... I think the GPS at that time may have been around 2ish............. I have not been past Valois south or Samson north east side....... Severn south stacks from power plant at Dresden North west side............ Good luck and have fun.........
  14. Thanks guys it's been a long time since the boys have been up I'll take a look back and see if I can find a post......but I'm sure it was on the old site............
  15. Ok here we go...... Hoot didn't go with us he had to leave and go home but said we were going to knot them......... Ran thee riggers till the middle on base broke ( second time this has happen !!!!! ) Best depth was 41' Bob Fuller spoon he doctor up for me has been good the last three times out.......the a DW sliver glow alwife took the big guy and a few more.....didn't do much the first 30 minutes or so then missed one and after that it was just plain fun till 11ish....... went 7 for 11 ...... at 10:30 all we needed for a grand slam was a laker and I told the boys if I could not get a laker I'd better quit............got the OLE dodger peanut out 15' of the ball and down she went....... some time around 11 we landed the laker and started to pull all lines and head back in.......... GREAT day with the boys and togather they got the Seneca GRAND SLAM !!!!! Heres the tally........... Patrick Brown 6 # 22.5†and 16.5†, rainbow 2.5# 19.5†Andy , Brown 4.5# 21.5 , landlock 20†2# , laker 19.5†and WOW !!!! brown 26†10 #....... The boys with their GRAND SLAM !!!!! Patricks 6# brown !!!! Andys 10# brown......
  16. Seneca 8/2/2013 Woke up at a tad before 5am rolled over and a minute or two later I hear Andy alarm go off............... I just got back in now and cleaned last fish what a morning slow start then it was reel good action .......boys ended up with a grand slam between them........more later and pictures have to get some thing to eat...................
  17. Seneca 8/1/2013 I was up at 5am coffee was done but weather didn't look good so I let the boys sleep.............around 7:15am or so we got some raingear around and gave it a go...........trolled south .....finnaly got a hit good fish and lost it.......... the we picked up a laker about 18" and boxed him had to sodbuster trick him to hit....trolled back north work out deep picked up two rainbows and lost a GOOD one..... boxed the 20"er and put the smaller one back....... 41' , 51' and 92' ...... all BF FLT spoons today Kingerboy didn't like this rain crap at all.... Andy finnally with a smile......
  18. 7/31/2013 Pick the great nephews up and brought them up to camp......go every thing unloaded some thing to eat boat ready and out we went.............ran the east side up two miles or so didn't see much on the screen so we went over to the west side....... ( a shame to the weeds were few to none )....... set up deep had one rigger in and just hooked line in the realse on second and I yell to them to get that rod.......fish on and boxed a 17" rainbow....... ...got rest of rod in water and worked back thru with out any thing else going on.......so we worked south and in closer to shore......picked up three lakers 13.5" , 15" and boxed a 20"er.......had one more taker but we didn't hook up..........said they are getting up early so we see what they can do in the morning.............. Pat and Andy ( no smiles....Oh well....LOL )
  19. If you turn it over I think you will see "Triple Fish " LLC on the back both are very good lines..............
  20. I was hoping you'd get the slam.......NICE job out there !!!!!!
  21. Nick the past three years have been GREAT for bows for me.........anyway get some in the 8" to 9" range that have the V-tail like a salmon at first glance.....then looking closer you can see it's a bow........ some in the 16" to 17" class the rest 3 to 5 pounds........... these 16"ers don't seem to have the body mass that a 12" a few years ago had !!!!!!
  22. Seneca 7/23/2013 As soon as the rain almost stopped Kinger and I was at the launch.........set up right out of the shoot and trolled north.....lots of weeds and fleas.........after a country mile had a release and nothing....... then a bit father north 50' rigger rod come up some I move to it and it relaeses reel like heck and got it............then it makes a good run and comes off....... another country mile or so and same deal om 41' rigger rod up noone home............then a half a country mile and 50'er goes again......hook-up and land a 19" landlock........ wind starts out of northwest so I turn and head back.................never moved a rod after that...............BUT Andy called and he and his boy were................I'll let him tell YA !!!!!! 7/25... Hit it again today with Hoot...... landed a landlock right off in the 1st 10 minutes or so the nothing for over 5 miles and 20 spoon changes..............then a 30 minute HOT spot landed 2 landlocks and a bow box those three...........bigger landlock was 61' down , bow 51' and smaller landlock at 41'........ dw ss spoons ........... that ne wind was crazy out there...............down temp at 51' on east side 58* to 59*................ west side north of Long point 52* to 54*........ just south of Long Point..... 45* !!!!!!!! 7/26/2013 Seneca Back out today with Hoot kinger stayed with Carol..............went 6 bows , 1 brown , 1 laker and 3 misses............ 51' , 61' best with 71' and 91' pulling a fish ....... Bob F FLT rocked today the UV sliver alwief was best !!!!!!........... 7/27/2013 Carol got out today 1st time fishing last time out we pulled her brother in with his whole family on the boat........................well it was a tad lumpy so I set-up just off the point to stay close if it got too bad for her........Kinger already didn't like it....... 61' rigger goes with Bob Fullers UV alwife net a 23" laker for Carol making her very happy......mess around in there for bit and it lays down some so we head north...... about a hour later 61'er goes again stick and hand the rod to her and I net a 18.5" 4# + brown for her and we call it after about 1 hour and 45 minutes........
