back out today with Hoot and Andrew............tryed the east side ....what a bunch of weeds ....worked my butt off keeping lines clean then we ran into BOAT size pod..... put motor in idle threw into reverce to clear it....ran int o more pulled up and went west into LAKER LAND....... lost two good fish (lakers) boated two smaller ones...........lost a good bow........boated two 17" landlocks .....lost a 8" too 10" laker lifting it out of the water wanted to see if it was a stocker or not....... anyway glow was good to go from 8ish till it got some sun coming out then UV worked well......hergennager (sp) likes the sun and a DWSS UV that's been good for a few years now.........the new paint job Bob didn't for me with small amount of glow did three strikes..... DW alwife glow did a few...........all in all not on fire out there but we boxed 4 and had fun loosing the rest.......

I put a new antenea on the boat and radio has been iffy.....re-did the solder conection on the antenea.....still iffy........ got my old hand held out today and was seeing if it could recive my signal...... no-go.......dropped my output from HI to Lo and it worked......think I've had this little ditty for a while now................. anyway looking for a new one........ what do you guys recomend........ this one came with the boat ( 1988 ) that I bought in 1996...........so it's way over time to upgrade..... ( I know Buckboard what a tightwad ).......

Dick are you running flasher off them or a inline spinner?? I have no problem with spoons and barrel swivels inline. All my rods that I run flashers like BTI's or spin dr. I use a QUALITY ($$$$) ballbearing snap/swivel or I'll get line twist.

Weeds are the normal PIA on the east side , built up the worst at points or large shaols.......... Sean , good to hear you got a good bite going my crew was pretty grumpy by that time ( granddaugher is NOT a morning person) , I have the spoon for you I talked about last year will have to figure away to get it down to you............. Oh sure Zebedee the "donut store" then later the ice-cream store........then WAY latter you will be like me on a diet !!!!!!

Heading back to Pa. ....a few more thing ...surface temp. is 69* ....10* higher than last time out....have not run the X4 yet but sure will next time out...... flea's will be here soon with 70* water coming fast....... lots of leaves in with the weeds and cootonwood also and a few small branches out there so keep a eye out at WOT......

If your using floro line now step up to the floro leader material much more $$$$$ but worth it.......when I was using the line I had to relace or retie because of weak spots most every outing that the fish were hiting..............

Tuff bite never moved a rod till 9:45 ..........landed a landlock and picked a laker up out deep running back thru by 10am ....then nothing for about a hour... lost one more landlock at the back of the boat then a while later boxed a 22" laker down 62' on a DW SS UV spoon the other three fish were 21' down with FLT (Bob Fullers ) spoon herganator (sp)..........Sammie with the tally...
