If you go with a HB get the best transducer they offer............if it comes with a cheapy , you can before you take it out of the package contact CS department and send it back and get the best one for a lot less...........

Seneca 8/23/2012 Hoot , Kinger and I got down to the launch at 6:45 am went across to the west side looking for salmon set up and troller north…………..picked up one bow , one small salmon and 6 lakers……….. went across to east side and set up and trolled south ……. Picked up 4 lakers and three browns……………grandslam BUT salmon was short !!!!!!........... DW UV spoon still going great in the sun…………three of Bobs spoons put fish in the boat again today………never ran back thru a spot all day fish had the feed bag on !!!!! got fish at 41’,51’,61’,71’, 80’ ,102’………bigger lakers on the west side were deep……..the TIE ROCKED again today !!!!!!!

Nice report good to hear someone is getting into the salmon........move over I heading south next time out...........JK.......I still have three areas to check out up here before making a long run like that..... What have you got a battery operated reel on your copper rig.......... ..........just how would it be getting current ????.........me I know nothing about copper had to say WHOA on some thing so I never did buy a copper rig........ I have a double leadcore rig I've only got wet 4 or so times pushing over $250.00.......so no copper......

the female I got the other day was full of eggs but still tight ........ I have not heard of any that make a sucessful spawn or hooked any smaller than the stocking size of 8" ........have you ?///

....lot of eels in a hurry , I had two stuck to the cannon ball before ( one at a time not two at once ) but dropped off before I could return them to the lake in TWO pieces.......

I only have it for this month then it goes on its way to the next member of the NAFC that wanted it........it's a fun thing and Kinger Boy sure looks better than me in it for sure...............

Seneca 8/21/2012 Kinger and I got a good start today boat ran GOOD ……we ran up to the clean water we found yesterday started DEEP and worked in to rut out some browns. The area was somewhat weedier than yesterday but fishable. We had some marks and bait but could not get them to fire then after the third spoon change BUBBA ( 24†male just over 8#) hit great fight and somewhat iffy wheather I could get him in the net. What a hog , bleeding from taking the spoon deep so I boxed him……….worked the area for three more passes picked a small 18†bow up put him back and lost a good brown came in to fast and he went crazy at the boat in the air two times with the second on the charm for him last pass came up empty and I still want to look for some landlocks so I move on…….picked up two lakers and a small brown after that to two hits without hooking up……. King said it was WAY past time to quit so I did……………..LOL…….. Big brown was WAY out of temp in the soup at 73* down 41’ !!!!!!! The tie still ROCKS !!!!!

Seneca 8/20/2012 Kinger and I got a late start today but it turned out fine. After I got the boat in the water and started it up it was barely pissing………shut her down and ran wire in without any better results……. We took off anyway but stayed on this side of lake. Set up and made a north troll into and out of weeds off and one for over a mile……picked up one good smallmouth bass in that mess. We ended up with 3 browns , 3 lakers , 1 bow and lost three…….. got back to camp pulled cover off motor and sure enough I had the hosed pinched ...... .... Kinger was NOT impressed by that SMB...... The tie does it again......

I was way north of peach orchard but hey I could still see it kinda like the nuke plant on lake ontario everyone fished s there........ it was weedy for me but found some open water , one SMB at 5# just shy of 20" 3 browns to the boat three small lakers and a 19" bow. boxed the bow and a 5# brown and a 4# brown lost a good brown on its 3 jump gave him some slack and he took it........two realses with noone home and one tangled two lines and I lost both spoons....... have to give Bfuller a yell that one spoon I got off him has hooked up with every thing including two HUGE SMB...... ..... Nick if ya need a heads up give me a call or stay south I'm still looking for the salmon up here....

Nice going guys , I'm getting back out today. I hope I got the big motor teaked so she will idle right coming back in........hate coming in HOT in case it stalls .......... I'll be looking for the browns first then think I see if I can find some landlocks I've been real bad at getting into them this year.....boy if I keep typing on here I'll never get out there.........

Thanks guys we got out for a bit today..... have some motor issues yet after talking to OSHARPSAW on the phone yesterday think I have some vacume lines cracked...............anyway the new riggers go 3 X as fast as the old mag 10a's worked great...........Just messed wit AP a bit seemed to over work it self but after reading some more in the book that can be adjusted............... So Hoot and eye hit the water and fished till the HEAVEY WNW wind came up and could not hold a good couse was pulling things up when Carol called and said rain was on its way from the west so in we went..........picked up a brown on K.O.S. with green cup that Bob painte up for me and one small laker and a hit and miss also on one of his spoons not sure of the name of this but its the same one I had the spilt-ring problem with..............40' down for the brown ( have no idea why he was in that soup but fished the marks ) and 65' for the laker and hit and miss...............

Thanks for the feelings Dave.....almost went out with the kicker just to check the Auto-pilot and riggers............called up Barretts and they had ONE cable so I ran up with Hoot and got it.............came back down and put it in..........buttoned her up and Hoot, Kinger and I went back down to the launch............boat in water , three rods out with spoons , nets in place, Kinger and Hoot in boat .....shove off......GGGeeessSShhhh!!!!! it will not go in gear...............musta messed that up when I had the whole shifter box out............back on trailer and back up.............tore it back out found my mistake and had to do a bit of ADJUSTMENT with a small hammer and old screwdiver........back togather and it works ON LAND........ just getting to OLD for this stuff , covered her up and will give it a go in the am..............

Alec I have a old ex-fan in the barn at home....... would trade it for jigs if your interested ........it has a 3 piont plug on the end.......was going to use it when I was thinking about making 12# cannon balls but with the barn door open we had plenty on air movement so it just sits there...

GeeSSShhhHHH !!!!!! Well I have no idea how or if it works.........got down to launch put boat in went to start her up started some what hard ????? When I got it going tryed giving it gas.............nothing............back on trailer came back to camp.........checked her out.......linkage cable BROKE clean off inside......calling Barretts to see if they have a new one......

Went back out today , working on a wiring problem.........check out USED part of mine I put in.................found a break in the ground wire ..............cut it ....re-did the connections.......POWER _ UP ....... did a quick run thru and it resonds to the -1 and -10 in Auto .......so a few more treaks and should be good to go !!!!!!

Hey Carol says that about me too !!!!!! Just got out of the boat had it ready to go stuffed every thing in hooked power back up......... .................pulled tools out of boat and put night time cover on the CC...................

8/11/2012 Spent about 4 or so hours with new cannon riggers wiring them to work on my OLE tin lizzy , then mounting them......differnt style mout than what I had on the boat........still have to water try them...... 8/12/2012 After putting on the riggers yesterday we ( Carol and I ) figured we would plan out and install the SmartPilot X-5R I bought off Frisco ........ 6 hours a bit of rain and we had to quit trying to talk myself into going out and see if I can complete it today..... ....... I made a few DUMB mistakes and she let me go .......then when I had to take it back apart .......... well ......anyway .......

You want to start a thread about releasing fish go ahead , that's where I got the info for the bogo-grip to take a picture. We brought 4 fish to the boat that day one laker was released at the side of the boat with pliers shaking him off ( treble hook ) ( treble vs. single was also covered in that thread or a thread like it) a small laker was brought into the boat and picture taken and released , the two browns were held by the bogo-grip picture taken and put back never checked the weight or how long they were............. I take a LOT of fish to eat they make it to the deep frier , gasgrill or smoker........ I would never poke a hole in a fish and put it back , unless someone showed me how and I felt GOOD that I knew it would be OK ( the fish )........anyway this thread was about CPR ......catch- picture - release ...... thanks for your input on the total release part but as they say been there read that !!!!!
