Ole Ray K wanted me ta post up a report so here ya go. It's that time a year again on the finger lakes when this white stuff hit the ground and the water........some folks mistake it for a early "flea" hatch. Not sure how many folks out there have seen this stuff in the air but I know MANY have seen it snagged to there line while fishing.......not as bad as the fleas but still some what a P.I.T.A.................... you will have to click on the picture to get a GOOD look-see..............

I've always been sumpting ,don't you remember your wawawa deleting spree a few years ago .......anyway thanks for taking the time for the replies. I didn't know you had to be logged in to veiw them.....we need the same deal in the finger lakes and trib sections........ I was (and still am ) for anything that will help support this site......NO SITE ..... and you got a extra $20.00 in your pocket to try and find a site as good as this one............ Is it time for the site to go to a closed system for fishing reports so the WHOLE internet can’t see these reports? I would like having them only being viewed by logged on members or taking it one step farther to joining *** LOU Professional - Members Only *** . It's would help this great site out and be an incentive for folks to take the next step !!!! I know a lot will not LIKE this idea but I've been thinking about it for some time and just wondering how many more are also........

GPS speed......cable blow back as to how deep you are down with the cannon ball..... some rigger get cable hum and most times that is a good speed.... change speed up or down watch the above.........rod pops ........land fish and get back to what you saw on the above.........also cables should trail straight behind boat ....if not you are in a cross current and adjust to get them straight...........you will have to keep your eye on these to get your speed for differnt fish...... I'd start with 2mph on the GPS and go from there.......

I guess I should go into a little more detail after GAMBLER post in case there is a mix-up or no understanding what I'm doing..... So to clear it up.............. I am using mono (30# test ) on the reel.......the side setting on the diver is 3 or more.....rod is high in rod holder not tipped to water surface..... I am trying to get as far away from the boat as I can..........with the small blades you can run faster.........I trail a spoon most times behind the cow-bell ( lake troll ) or a stickbait..........it works for browns mostly early in the season and some times late.......also have only used it on the finger lakes and Lake George ( lakers like it on George in early May ) but see no reason it would not work any where

Did you put the wire on yet ? If it is wired for a short stop the way I did it when I had a sub-troll on one. I stripped 6" to 10" of the coating off put wire thru hole in side of spool put to wire crimps on , used one too hold wire to spool , took a short BARE piece of down rigger wire slide that into other crimp and slide the other end down into the hole in the center of the spool. Then put some thing in that hole to hold the wire ( I sliced a piece of noodle foam to fit tight) then fire the rigger up with the coated wire..................... sounds goofy but it works........

I only buy about three or four colors any more and I re-paint with clear coat before I get them wet. They last longer that way. I bought over $250 worth of DW ss over the winter and if they hold up and catch fish I may NEVER buy any more of there JUNK paint jobs again ..........

Looks like Kade gets to the rods faster than Dad....... ....... WTG Kade............ I also bought a bogo-grip over the winter my fish didn't make it after releasing , I think it had something to do with the dark brown sugar

Tom you need a 3 color for early season...........

I had the problem worked on connections and such , then bought a new battery and put it in............so no NOT after buying before..... No problem thanks for the follow-up......

I took a ride down to Wal_Mart and the bank on Saturday and it was nasty looking......keep it down there buddy......LOL....

I only fished that lake two times with a guy from town over there and his go to lure was orange rapala off a rigger...............worked in Lake George also.
