Dave , here a link for a free download for your depthfiner manual : http://www.lowrance.com/Downloads/Manuals/ or if you don't want to print your own I know they have a site out there that you can buy one , when I got my starcraft it had a older Lowrance on it and no free down load for that unit and I found the pay site it was $14.00 or so shipped to my door. Your dad didn't make it out yesterday , not sure if he did today or not have not talked to him today......we'll see ya soon at the NAFC Finger Lakes Meet..............

Well hope you did better than I did......before I went past you I picked up a 17" laker off the rigger down 51' on a spoon , then later farther north one more laker around 22" , and three dink salmon on the ride back across.......no where's near the good marks I had yesterday.........past the copper guys in the park as I was going down they said they did 9 lakers with some good sized one in the mix.........guess I'll have to dig the the pound ball out with the wire rod..... .....

  4. 20.5' , I'm going out but waiting for my buddy down below. I have a update on a SD card for his HB fishfinder. Do you have a radio ? If so what channel will you be on I'll sare info if you want. I saw Fish-On- III out there also and I was on channel 68. Heard some guys on Cayuga but not Seneca that one dude must have some massive power on his unit wall to wall and very clear transmision !!!!! Anyway give me a shout but it will be after noonish for as slow as my buddy is getting around this morning...........

  6. Hooked up with Don from the park and gave it ago , no idea where or how deep been awhile......fished west side ran into some weeds deep working into 75' to 85' cleaned all lines. Boated a brown and a landlock and picked up one more landlock in that area.......all small brown nice and fat 14.5" landlocks 6" to 8".......put x4 in water and worked back out deeper looked like 90' to 120' should be a bit better , gave it a try banged a huge laker down 84' on the rigger with spoon where we pulled a short distance release about 4' from netting range..... .......worked that area for a while with out any more hit then went out around 300' , then across lake picked up one more small landlock out over 500'...........

We came back early , no chatting going on , on channel 68 just buckboardjr and us. bjr was out Saturday when we got there but we buttoned every thing up for the storm coming.................sunday was a wash out , boated 5 on monday , snunk on tueday , 2 on wensday , 4 on thursday , 3 on friday came home today........bjr been into the big ones the past few days......................fished from 125 ', out to 613'..........with 225, to 310' or so the best for us.........blue dalmation sd with a blue/green/yellow fly by A-tomic the best , greasy chicken wing spoon , and wonderbread glow spoons by DW.........then it was mix and match........120' best bite but got fish from 57' down to 157' down..................it's been stabilizing some the past few days with more cold water coming in closer to shore...................

  14. Thanks guys....... Brother Stan came up today getting ready for our L.O. trip and I grilled up the brown sugar rainbow , basted it with butter/lemon juice/salt/pepper.....it was good........but I also made up some horseradish sauce.......man that took it over the top it was GREAT !!!!!
  15. We plan on checking in on the 27th at 3ish , and will be checking out before 11am on the 5th. If you will be in the area at that time or coming up a bit after and want to share info PM me with your cell # and I reply with mine. Or just call for erabbit or buckboard Jr. on the radio , unless I find out other wise we will be on 68. Right now it's my Cuz his buddies out of his boat , and my brother and I out of my boat........we are just FUN fishing NOT in the derby and even if we were have always shared info.............. to everyone in the derby GOOD LUCK and most of all have fun

Nick it's all my falt , I saw those cracks in that HI base , the middle rigger get more stress on the board than the other two........that's why I bought the low-profile off you....................I'm putting it on as I write this just came in for a break...... ......I mean a time away from the job....... ..... a lot less to go wrong with those....... I still have one HI base on need too much hardware to change that one out now but it's going........that one had a crack in the part the rigger slides on........I just changed that part out...... ...... so the fish gods let me off for my dumbness......

Thanks guys , told my better half things were getting better..........doing some work in the new shed pounding some nails in and the board for my plaining board mast fell hit me in the head , lucky it was the flat side of the board and not a corner...... ...... well the laker is soaking in " Ken's Steak House , lite , sweet , Vidalia Onion dressing " and the bow is covered in brown sugar..........I'll have the laker tonight for dinner and the bow in the next day or so take a bit longer for the brown sugar to do it's majic !!!!!!
  19. Seneca 8/23/2011 Out solo after 7am by the time I got two lines in the water. Ran that way for a while then dropped the thrid one in...............few minutes later that one fired with a good laker , boxed it............then a good rainbow boxed it...........picked up a laker one deepest rigger put him back............then a good bow brought it in hot got reel fisty at the boat so I gave her some slack , never had to touch her threw the hook like she knew what I wanted ..... I can still see her in my minds eye........going back thru area I hear a SNAP.......look back middle down rigged boom is in water...........base broke....saved pole...........threw kicer out of gear...........strated brining up cannon ball and hanging onto rigger...........WHEW !!!!!!! got it back in boat...... pulled ever thing and headed in......9:30ish......... laker on the grill , flipped..... done........
  20. That's a good thing for me it's the high end of the speed , take speed up till up hear the hum ( not all at once ). If you don't get bit back it off a bit. Or if your motor throlle control is better dropping back take it to the hum........and drop back.......I like starting out HOT most times.
