  1. Good point and one I've thought about as well. Client's are pinching penny's as it is just to have enough to make the trip.
  2. You'll be pleased with it. It makes the old Sport Pilot's look like something out of the stone age.
  3. Thanks Charlie. I put a call into him this morning but haven't heard back yet. Looks like you have it covered. Thanks again.
  4. Bob where did you find this guy? Think he goes by the name " omganothershortfatbaldone"
  5. Little anger management ya think. Oh I see his his foot slipped and it was in reverse.
  6. Here's some more on it & if you go to the right of the page there are more proposal's there. No mention on where the money will go. I did read some where trying to research the whole proposal that the DEC recommended it. http://nydailybalance.blogspot.com/2008 ... ermen.html
  7. Does anyone kn any more about this? I've tried to find the actual proposal and can't find anything on it. Gov. Paterson's proposed state budget for next year includes new fees for anglers Posted by David Figura/The Post-Standard December 16, 2008 11:16AM I just ahold of the Gov. David Paterson's proposed budget for next year and this is what I can tell you at this point: The spending plan includes: - Establishing a new trout and salmon stamp. The new stamp would cost $10 and require that all persons fishing for trout and salmon to possess a stamp in addition to the standard fishing license fee. - Establishing a new marine fishing license. Establishes a new marine fishing license at cost of $19 for state residents,a nd $40 for out-of-state individuals. The marine fishing license would also serve as a registry of New York marine anglers and would fulfill requirements of the National Saltwater Angler Registry and State Exemption Program. Nothing was mentioned about the Reynold's Game Farm and the state's pheasant hunting, apart from Saturday's press release that the farm would close and that its remaining birds would be processed and delivered to the Food Bank. I have calls out.. Stay tuned.
  8. This article address's the pheasant issue as well as a new proposed trout & salmon stamp. If you go thru his other articles there is alot more on the pheasant issue. http://blog.syracuse.com/outdoors/2008/ ... udget.html
  9. Put your foot in a Croc when ya put it down. Can't beat em in the summer unless there PINK.
  10. Simrad AP14H Should do what you need with no problem at a reasonable price. I think there are a few on here that are using the hyd. model. I've installed 6 or 8 cable units, and everyone is impressed with them, including myself. But I don't have any hands on with the hyd. version.
  11. Good to see you here Jeff> Now you can keep an eye on the moose.
  12. That's what I meant by the remote. I just didn't explain it properly. The main unit is the same for either one. The remote on the 14 has the feature's your referring to in the remote. The 14 remote has a built in computer as the 12 is manual input. Bottom line either are great unit's. Just depend's on your wallet. http://www.simrad-yachting.com/en/Produ ... AP12-AP14/
  13. Tim the only difference between the 12 & 14 is the remote. It does need the clearance behind the dash tho. As well as a rotary type cable as opposed to a rack&pinion style. If it's rack style it's only a matter of changing out cable.
  14. 83 It's probably the old stringer style 800 series. If it is they weren't the best drive to start with & part's are hard to find & expensive. Ck and make sure what it is.
  15. What model drive is it?
  16. As Nick said. With mono there is no need for a snubber. I don't and alot of us don't with wire. Just set your drag's loose and your good ta go. Wire, braid or mono. Snubber is just more in the water to drag and in my view it impairs the lure action.
  17. I read that this morning on line. I was going to address it to Yankee T.
  18. Opps. Sorry. Forgot that part. You do have to unhook the cable to free it up. Glad I could help.
  19. Theres a round rubber plug on the starboard side of the engine cowl. It's right below the carbs. That's the access hole to get to the pin for the shift rod. Hope that helps ya.
