  2. Another good and reasonable man is Ira. http://www.digitalmarinesurveys.com/ He is close to you also.
  3. This thread might help you out some: http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishin ... php?t=5601
  4. Sometimes things happen. I'm sure they'll pressure test it and check everything over for ya. You probably already know but make sure it's in forward gear when you pull it & reinstall it.
  5. Rod: Thanks for editing that post. There is no reason to list names until you know what the problem is and the out come.
  6. Ray your killin me. Almost lost a good swig a keystone over that one. lmao
  7. Your right Mark. I haven't run copper but if I were to, I'd talk to Tom 1st. The knowledge and support are worth the extra money saved by going to e-bay or somewhere else.
  8. What a B-Buster.
  9. 15# Big Game green with a leader in the spring & early summer till the fleas show up. Then 30# BG with 15 or 20# Seafloren leader.
  10. John: Take the time to run a line as I said above. It"ll save a lot of problems down the road.
  11. John: Before you go moving things. Run a dedicated fused power line to the vhf from the battery instead of both units running off the same fuse block.
  12. Beat me to the punch Bill. You type faster.
  13. Maybe a thank you to Bill would of been a bit more appropriate for his time looking into it for everyone. They are willing to replace them with the updated cords at no charge. Instead of shipping them. Why don't you ck for a dealer nearest you or where you fish and make arrangements with them beforehand to have them replaced.
  14. Dang I said i stand corrected. Wasnt thinking about the west end.
  15. Check with Ray K. He might have something.
  16. I stand corrected. In this part of the lake we use 14 & 08 most of the time with no problems. Other areas are an other story. Here is the C.G. list of channels. http://www.monitoringtimes.com/html/mtmarvhf.html
  17. Just an update: It is open enough to get in and out. But stay in the middle. It's not dredged completely yet and no buoys yet to mark it. Sorry I'm a little late it's been passable for about 2 weeks now. It won't be fully open as normal until the rest of the permits come in.
  18. Have you tried another battery? Could save yourself any more expense.
  19. Clippers. This link will give you an idea of what they are & forget the rubber band deal he talks about. It's not needed. Just adjust the tension for the line your running. Spin the line into a loop and clip it in. But they can be bought locally at a much more reasonable price. http://www.amishoutfitters.com/clipper.htm
  20. http://www.lakeontarioproam.com/
  21. Ck out this tread. Might help you out. http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishin ... nels#24075
  22. RD I"ll give you a call . But it has to be in forward gear at the shifter and the outdrive indexed to it when you put it on.
