  1. Mark: Expect a call. I just talked to him. He'll give ya the inside skinny native scoop so to speak.
  2. Mark: A good friend of mine just moved back from there. Spent 2 years as a mate. I'll try to get up with him and have him contact ya.
  3. Dick. They do make an antenna just for the Scotty. Just ask for it when you purchase it or call them and they will take care of it for you.
  4. Rod: If your talking on the transom plate with two longer bolts. Yes re place them as well as the springs in between. They are inexpensive and just good insurance is all, for the few $'s they are, you don't want to have to pull it again to replace them or have to replace a coupler because of it. On the same note MAKE sure that the engines are aligned before the drives are put back on.
  5. Borax: Of all I've installed we have never tried it with uncoated cable. Curt ( at Depth Raider ) say's that it will but haven't tried it. But why limit yourself to 35 to 50 ft.. There are times when I'm shur you'll want to ck. deeper and feel confident that it will work ok. If you want the scoop from the man. Give Curt a call directly at Depth Raider. Good support and good people.
  6. Dang Wolf with that title for the thread I was thinkin I was on the wrong board or getin lucky.
  7. Don't know if this was posted before, but this mornings Post Standard had a run down of the seminars this weekend. http://blog.syracuse.com/outdoors/2008/ ... ed_by.html
  8. "watched salmon swoop down and pick kings out of the water like they were minnows" ???? Might of missed something here but the last I knew salmon didn't fly.
  9. I forgot the battery consumption part. Full season day in and out on 1 battery. What ya doin Bill readin my mind while I was typin. Sides that I got you on the right track. lol
  10. Steve: After running a Hawk for over 15 years daily with down time in between for constant repairs. Here are several advantages. Constant LCD read out. Both temp. & speed. No more having to average it out when the speed on the hawk is bouncing around. Ease of installation, no transd. to mount one cable from the rigger to the head and two power wires for the head. The whole system can be rigged in less than an hr. including the coated cable and you don't have to pull the boat or drill more holes in the transom. As far as the coated cable goes unless your stacking on it (I don't) I see & have no problems altho I kn some guys that do stack without any trouble. Last but not least. Price, support if you should have a problem is excellent, sealed electronics in the probe. If by chance the o-ring should leak. The only place it can get to is the battery compartment. Not the main board. Dam Missed my callin. Should of been a salesman.
  11. Brian: How many are you interested in. I've got 5 or 6 at the shop with a manual or two to go with em. pm me
  12. 1 Answer: Depth Raider. Great people, good support, and a quality product.
  13. K you guys. Don't knock em till you try em. Wear them all summer. But May? maybe NOT. I get my share of razin but they are comfortable and the price is right unless there pink one's Rich.
  14. Dang Bud: Nice fish but I didn't think an arm could of stretch out that far for the camera. Good luck at the new job.
  15. Not a problem Rod. Hope it works out ok for ya. Did you find out where it originally came from?
  16. Rod: Sent you a pm.
  17. Ray: Trying to decipher your post's is fun, but re-adjust the choke for the colder weather. Give me a call and I'll walk ya thu it.
  18. Maryland? Is it a salt water engine to start with? What Bill said is very valid and good advice for a fresh water engine, price as well. But now your throwing an other equation into it. How old and or what year is the engine? Was it run in salt water all the time and if so for how long?
  19. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/btmbnmolds ... 33073.aspx same thing I think. Just depends on what wire you use with it or make your own.
  20. Emty Try Net Craft. www.jannsnetcraft.com The should have them. I've got there catalog here & I'll look later on for you. But they should have them on there site as well. Click on Do-It Molds.
  21. Your on a roll again Ray.
  22. Smart choice Nick. Nobody is above making a mistake, and there is no reason to post a name right now untill you know what is going to happen. I kn I've screwed up a few times in my business and made it right, as I'm shur Paul has as well. Why slander some one where it can be seen by thousands of people on the net by one screw up and realy hurt his busness, as you said you were happy with his other mount's. Let us kn how it works out.
  23. Amazing
