  1. Tony: Ck your PM box I'm in Pa now and left a # for ya.
  2. No comment Tony. I'm not sure they make 10xx Sides that did Mike talk to you about Williamsport this weekend?
  3. Pm: If you can. Do yourself a favor and charter a reputable Capt. in the area then have at it with your boat. If you have never been on the lake and I'm assuming you haven't. In the long run it will save you a lot of money buying all kinds of things you really don't need as well as a wealth of info in the area you want to fish. If your going out of Sodus there are a lot of good men there that will not have a problem showing you the ropes so to speak. We all basically fish the same water in this part of the lake. Bear in mind when you are posting on all the boards I've seen you on that your looking at a very large area of the great lakes. Michigan all the way to Ontario & more, and techniques, structure, and what works where are different in every area.
  4. OK It's kind of off topic. But tell me what the advantages are as well as the disadvantages.
  5. We call it the plotter line around here, and never leave home without it. It's a very valuable tool especially if you can just hit a cursor button instead of a way point when you hit a fish every unit is different. Either way It's a good tool. Grid line's. Who cares as long as you kn where you were and can get back to it. You can always look at the readout to see the lat.& long. It's also a good tool if you get caught in the fog or whatever to get back to port if needed.
  6. Depth Raider http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... &noImage=0
  7. I can't wait ta see this.
  8. I kn I'll ruffle some feathers. But after using the Hawk for 15 years or so every day I switched over to the Raider. Do yourself a favor and look into Depth-Raider or Sub-Troll. A lot less problem's all the way around as well as good support if you should have a question or problem.
  9. Hunt: you might want to watch this tread. http://fishing.lakeontariounited.com/vi ... .php?t=718 It's covering the same topic your asking about.
  10. With a thru hull transducer we can mark fish going over 25mph up on plane and mark them clearly. I find that hard to believe. Bait yes. Individual fish and or fish? Furuno is a great unit, but seeing fish at 25 mph or knt's is pushing it. I'll have to take a ride with you or Jim some time.
  11. Ray: Good talking to you this morning. I hope I was some help. I'll let you know about the other deal when I talk with Steve. Coffees on me next time I come thru your way.
  12. Here Ya Go. Open communication and all. http://www.lakeontarioproam.com/Pro_AmO ... __2007.htm Radio Use and Restriction: All participating boats must be equipped with an operational VHF radio and GPS unit. The GPS unit is critical to the proper scoring of the catch and must remain functional at all times. Open communication will be in effect throughout the tournament. NOTE: This rule is designed for captain to captain communication ONLY. The tournament committees strongly suggest that any communication between captains and their observers be mutually agreed upon at the Captain’s meeting. Not everyone will want to communicate and the committees ask that everyone respect each others’ wishes with regard to this issue. Tournament control will monitor Channel 16 and all boats will be directed to Channel 9 for announcements. It is the responsibility of the teams to maintain contact with tournament control in the event of foul weather.
  13. Ray: Check your pm's.
  14. Scroll thru this thread, and read BlueEye's posts. It will explain that there are still a few small bug's to be worked out and there being addressed as time permits, and this is one of them. http://fishing.lakeontariounited.com/vi ... highlight=
  15. I know where there is a center box not being used I can probably get my hands on.. ( between seats) But not so sure about the deck box. I've got to give you a call later anyhow about the trailer deal. I'll let you know then.
  16. Stix: Your right FCV667. If you have the room for it, there isnt a better unit out there for the money. Just old school talkin here.
  17. Center hatch behind the seats in the middle of the deck should have a box under it unless the box has been removed. It was standard from Penn Yan for that year boat. Under the center hatch between the seats should also have a removable box under it.

    scuppers

If you feel as if you have to do away with them. Instead of drilling holes etc. for sheet metal. Look into standard automotive expansion soft plugs. (The rubber type you tighten the nut to lock them in.) Paint them after there in place and your all set. I'm thinking there is probably about a 2" hole thought the hull once you pull the old one's out.
  19. Ray: Relax: I havent even talked to Steve or Mark. Man is busy with more things than one.
  20. This product works well for sealing rivets. It can be purchased at other places as well. It won't break free or come loose once you apply it to a cleaned surface. Check it out
  21. Dang I was serious too. See where that got me.
  22. Erin: I try.
  23. Can I come too? Would like to see some new trick's.
  24. Run standard round balls, what ever weight your riggers can handle. With down and out's off the outer riggers. Unless there is a h*ll of a lot of down current you won't have any problems. Sides that D&O's catch a lot a fish. I don't run anything but them on the outside rigger's in deeper water. Just my two cent's But I'm new to this, might not work for everyone.
