I believe Mich also has a hook/lure law to complement that rod law. I think the current two line rule is good for shoreline/tribs/bays. On the boats, I'd rather see a rod per person & lure/bait limit per boat for the open water. I'd propose boats could have 3 rods per person & 12 lure/baits for the boat. Blacks. Take care of them & they'll last a long long time. I.E. Release the tension on them between trips, keep out of sunlight when not in use, keep out of "heat". I just replaced a couple that were over 20 years old. Tom B. (LongLine)

There's a sticker/label remover called "Un-Du" that works great at removing tapes and the sticky residue. It's used by scrapbook people & sold in craft stores. It works better than acetone. (still flammable, but smells better than acetone) It won't hurt the stock paint job on spoons. Tom B. (LongLine)

Stan, Sounds like those anti-600 ft guys have never fished a real lake. They've definitely never been on one of the Great Lakes. Which is okay I guess, cuz you're getting a leg up on them come derby time. (Pyramid Lake Nevada is about 1/2 the size of a few of our our Finger puddles...err... Lakes) Top Linning structure with a board can be extremely effective once you get the hang of it. Just use your boat handling skills to control the board. I know the pain. I just unblocked mine & ran it up to Hank for some engine work. Drove up to the lake. 19 boats on Port Bay plus a bunch of guys on shore. Lake is as flat as a mill pond. Drove up to Fair Haven to check out Screwie Louie's & he's closed Mon-Thurs. :evil: Oh, well, stopped at B-E on the way back & bought a bunch of tape. (I'll have something to do come the first snow.) Stan, In New York you can have as many rods as you can afford. The catch is that you can only fish with two lines, with or without rods. And each line can have a maximum of fifteen points on it. Tom B. (LongLine)
