    WD-40 is the best silver polish known to man and will prevent tarnish for a long long time. It won't hurt paint jobs at all, however it may loosen up tape. Spray a little on a soft paper towel and wipe. Tom B. (LongLine)

    Auto-Bungie works great on mine. (18 ft'r). Of course the down-side is the yearly investment of approx. a buck & 1/2 for a new one. Tom B. (LongLine)

    When oil & water are mixed and churned up, it turns tan-ish white. It's a dead give-away that something needs repair. Lower units have a large screw on the gear casing - down below the prop, towards the front, for draining oil. Tom B. (LongLine)

    There should be a metal tag on it somewhere with the model & serial number. A good place to look is on the side of the engine clamps. (to the transom) Tom B. (LongLine)
