  1. Saw 4 accidents on the way home. One really good one. 40 min trip took 70. Why do people forget how to drive in this stuff? Tom B. (LongLine)
  2. I've never used it but I haven't heard a lot of good said about vanish for trolling. Myself, I switched from the mono's to copoly a few years ago. Tom B. (LongLine)
  3. Just did a search. Nice looking unit, specs look good. Good luck with it. Tom B. (LongLine)
  4. Guess the old one didn't have enough power huh? Tom B. (LongLine)
  5. One thing i did with the line is to run it above the floorboards. I encased the approved hose in a 3/4: pvc pipe and tucked it in along the bulkhead. Wanted to make sure no one could step on it and wanted to be able to change it easily if I ever smelled gas again. Tom B. (LongLine)
  6. Actually, looking forward to who has the best commercial. Tom B. (LongLine) (49'rs by 7)
  7. Did I call it or what? Wish I could call football games like that... Actually, the nicked up coating can be a good indicator/reminder to look for kinks in cable. Probes of any kind can get expensive! Lose a fish - Big whoop...lose a probe & ouch! Be sure to check the cable frequently of the one you get for those "minor" kinks. Tom B. (LongLine)
  8. Moor, Depth Raider, cannon........(Moor has a sale on right now) But it's really a Ford vs Chevy debate that includes a Toyota lover. You're going to get 14 different answers and it all boils down to personal preference. You're also going to have guys say fish above temp, some say fish below temp & others say fish in temp. Others will say fish you sonar instead. Good luck. (I use moor's Sub-T) Tom B. (LongLine)
  9. Sorry for your loss. Not sure of any organization dedicated to fishing for kids but may want to try one of these places: http://www.activitytree.com/kids-classe ... ter/14623/ I also know that the Monroe County Fishery Advisor Board donates rods for a fishing derby every year at powder Mill park. Maybe contact them to see if they know of any org that does what you looking for? Tom B. (LongLine)
  10. On the internet, in general, Walleye boards are usually the ones with the highest hits to post ratio. Seems like everyone wants to catch them but there seem to be only a few really willing to share info. Just my $.02 Tom B. (LongLine)
  11. I've been told there are some really big cats in the Genny, especially right at the turn by the zoo. Not sure what he used for bait. I didn't believe him till he showed me some proof with his underwater camera: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Tom B. (LongLine)
  12. Yep - some will say typical Mercury-E-rude debate, however, I used to use maxima on my 320's for the riggers but found it had too much stetch with the longer rods, so switched to p-Line and haven't had to look back. I'd look at some of the co-poly lines rather than straight mono if I were you. Tom B. (LongLine)
  13. The Genny does have a walleye population but not many guys will talk about it. I wonder if the spring currents in the river, which can be pretty strong, might pose a major problem. (?) Tom B. (LongLine)
  14. How about a piece of foam pipe insulation? Anyone ever try that? Tom B. (LongLine)
  15. Welcome to the site George. Tom B. (LongLine)
  16. I personally prefer untangling single hooks and find removing them from nets, the flooring and/or my fingers much easier than trebles. I also find with bigger fish that the singles usually hook a little deeper in the mouth i.e. towards the corners. Trebles too often hook towards the front of the mouth, where the jaws are much harder for the barbs to dig into. When the trebles do get engulfed, it makes a mess out of the fish's mouth, tonge, gills etc. Tom B. (LongLine)
  17. So smooth that I slipped right off his potential customer list. Tom B. (LongLine)
  18. Just be very careful around those things if you use a lot of treble hooks. Tom B. (LongLine)
  19. Maybe turn the wheel with engine off then turn the wheel with engine on? Kind of like power steering? (Pump could be for tilt/trim) Tom B. (LongLine)
  20. Happy Birthday Skipper. Keep on trucking! Tom B. (LongLine)
  21. Happy Birthday Dave Tom B. (LongLine)

Hey, a note was sent home; last one – they sent the parents a “parentlink†…guess that’s enough for these law-abiding gun owners. Or maybe this is too strict and “infringes†on 2nd amendment rights???????
  24. OTL - I like the 3/0 & sometimes 4/0 Gammies on 28's. (I can't spell it) The ss, you'd probably get away with 2/0 but may have to reshape the spoon. Watch your shank lengths. You don't want the real short ones that some manufacturers make. Tom B. (LongLine)
  25. Thanx guys. It's hard but am trying to enjoy it. Tom B. (LongLine)
